‘The Bachelorette’s Hannah Brown Admits Planning Wedding in France Has Been ‘Stressful’

In just over a month, Hannah Brown will head to France and tie the knot with Adam Woolard, whom she got engaged to in August 2023. The Bachelorette star is in the thick of finishing plans for her wedding, and it’s admittedly been harder than she expected.
Planning a destination wedding from home in Nashville has been “stressful,” Brown tells Swooon.
“For any other bride who says to ‘just soak it in, this is the best season,’ … this has not been my best season,” Brown admits. “I’m excited for the wedding, of course, and my future, but a lot going on at one time, it can be really hard.”
Leading up to the big day, Brown is hard at work promoting her upcoming book, The Four Engagement Rings of Sybil Rain, and new gig on Season 10 of Bachelor in Paradise, so she’s had a lot on her plate. “I do care about details, but when you’re going so fast and have so much going on, you’re like, ‘Just pick it for me! I don’t care, it’s going to be fine!'” the reality star continues. “This has been a tough season of all these little things of wedding planning and the pressure of it all.”
Brown says she’s “leaning on” Woolard to get through the stress of it all. “I’m not the girlie who’s all-in, making Pinterest boards at night or thriving in it,” she adds. “I thought I would be a little more.”
She also was “so gung-ho” about having a destination wedding, but now says the “logistics of it all” have made things tough. “I have wedding planners and they’re amazing and they’re handling it, but even with them… I don’t have wedding planners that are in France,” Brown explains. “The logistics of it all can be super stressful, and you have my sweet family from Alabama, where the farthest they’ve been is Tennessee. It’s been funny to navigate it all. … A destination wedding is definitely different and can be challenging at times, but I know it’s going to be great once we’re there.”
Brown and Woolard moved from California to Nashville in 2023, but are still weighing their options about where they want to be in the future. “Who knows with whatever opportunities come up,” she points out. “I’m like, we could move back to California, or we’ll be in Alabama by my parents, who knows what’s in store? But we really do love Nashville for this season. I am from Alabama, so my family’s [not far] away. It’s just a perfect distance to where we get to see them so much more than we did when I lived in California and I’ve loved that. There’s just so much going on here in Nashville and it’s such a great community, so I’m feeling happy right now, but who’s to say what the future brings.”
