Will HGTV’s Chelsea & Cole DeBoer Have More Kids? Their Latest Update
Chelsea DeBoer and Cole DeBoer have their hands full with four kids. On top of that, they also film their HGTV show, Down Home Fab, and run their brick-and-mortar store Down Home by DeBoers (in addition to other projects).
So, with all of that going on, is the couple considering adding baby No. 5 to the mix? They recently gave an update in a behind-the-scenes clip of Down Home Fab.
“Whenever we’ve talked about having a fifth, everyone’s like, ‘Oh my god!'” Cole pointed out. This prompted Chelsea to ask him, “Should we?” He had to remind her, “I mean, I think we’re pretty busy, right?”

In a confessional, Chelsea admitted, “I go back and forth on wanting a fifth kid every other day.” But Cole wasn’t quite onboard, as he told her, “It’s chaos right now, okay, with the four we have. Imagine all this with an infant?” That only tugged at Chelsea’s heartstrings even more, though. “Awwww!” she exclaimed.
When Chelsea met Cole in 2014, she was already a mom to 5-year-old daughter Aubree, whom she shares with ex Adam Lind. The DeBoers went on to welcome their first child, son Watson, in January 2017, followed by daughter Layne in August 2018 and daughter Walker in January 2021.
The couple recently opened up to TV Insider about their family dynamics and how their kids feel about filming Down Home Fab. “It’s whatever they prefer. If they don’t want it, that’s just fine. We’re not forcing anything here,” Cole explained.
Chelsea added, “Our son, he’s just so sweet. He’s so reserved that a lot of times when the camera crew is here, he’ll be like, “I’m gonna go hang out in my room.” He likes to chill and relax, he doesn’t need this big show. But our youngest two girls, when those cameras turn on, they are crazy. They’re bouncing off the walls, they want all the attention.”
