Are Megan Moroney & Riley Green Dating? What We Know About the Rumors
Some of the biggest stars in country music took the stage at CMA Fest earlier this month, and the performances will air as part of the CMA Fest special on June 26. Two of the main stage performers this year were Megan Moroney and Riley Green.
This comes amid rumors and fan speculation that the two are romantically involved. The buzz started in December when they were both spotted vacationing in St. Barts. Internet sleuths noticed they were posting photos and videos from the same location, and a few weeks later, fans noticed Moroney was wearing Green’s cowboy hat during a night out in Nashville.

Are Megan Moroney and Riley Green a couple?
According to the stars themselves… no. “I didn’t even know that was a thing,” Moroney told Rolling Stone in March. “He was individually on vacation with his friends. St. Barts is a popular place!”
However, she acknowledged that she met up with the fellow country singer on the getaway. “It’s one of those things where if you know someone on a small island, you’re like, ‘Oh, s**t, you’re here too.’ So it was fun. Just because we’re hanging out doesn’t mean we’re romantically dating. You know what I mean?”
That same month, Green appeared on the In the Blind podcast and said he was “single.”
Why do fans think Megan Moroney and Riley Green are dating?
In addition to the St. Barts and Nashville sightings, Moroney and Green have continued to fuel the rumors in recent weeks. In May, they were spotted at the airport together after they both attended the ACM Awards. Then, the duo was seen in Green’s Alabama hometown.
Perhaps the most telling, though, was Green’s social media activity earlier this month. According to a TikTok user, he “liked” her video that said, “Can’t even imagine the songs we’re gonna get out of Megan and Riley being in love.”
Did Ella Langley unfollow Megan Moroney?
Before Green was linked to Moroney, there were rumors that he was dating his “You Look Like You Love Me” duet partner Ella Langley. They’ve also both denied the dating speculation, but in recent months, fans are convinced that their chemistry has changed while they’ve been at public events. As one online user put it: “I know a failed situationship when I see one.”

Fans have also claimed that Langley unfollowed Moroney on Instagram after rumors of her relationship with Green surfaced. While the rising star does not follow Moroney on the social media site, we cannot confirm whether or not she was ever following her at any point before.
In May, Langley added fuel to the fire by posting a video of herself (literally) stirring a pot while mouthing along to Kaitlin Butts’ lyrics: “I think I have heard of that man. I think I heard he got run over by a train, mauled by a bear, maybe? Hopefully. You ain’t gotta die to be dead to me!”
However, Langley and Green did take the stage together at CMA Fest in early June, although their duet will not air during the televised show.
