‘Age of Attraction’ Season 1 Couples: Who’s Still Together After the Reunion?

If you’re looking for a perfect cross between Love Is Blind and MILF Manor, Netflix’s new dating experiment reality series, Age of Attraction, hosted by Natalie Joy and Nick Viall, is the show for you! On March 11, the series premiere confirmed the six main couples who underwent the entire experiment together. With ages ranging from 22 to 60, these singles got to know each other through speed dating, activity wall excursions, and more, all without knowing the ages of potential partners. (Warning: Season 1 spoilers below!)
At the start of the experiment, the age gap proved to be too much to bear for some couples, like Tristan Davis and Erin Timm, as well as Joleen Diaz and West Mandell, who split in the promise room. At the same time, some found love within their age range, leaving the resort together to begin their off-camera love stories. The couple with the largest age gap split during the first episode drop, leaving five couples heading into Parts 2 and 3.

Theresa & John
Relationship Status: Split
Age of Attraction‘s poster couple, Theresa DeMaria and John Merrill, decided to stay together on commitment day. While Theresa was apprehensive about family visits, the couple made it through stronger than before. In the promise room, Theresa and John revealed that they are 54 and 27, respectively, making Theresa double John’s age.
While Theresa was worried about John meeting her kids, ages 22, 25, and 29, their hardest moment during family visits was with John’s mom and sister, who were disappointed that Theresa never told them she has kids. Theresa also withheld John’s age from her kids, which they called “a little weird,” even though they assumed he was over 30.
On commitment day, Theresa read a letter that her kids wrote to John, confirming that they support their relationship. While they decided to continue to navigate their lives together, their age gap proved to be too big of an issue. During the reunion, the couple revealed that they broke up months prior.
Vanessa & Logan
Relationship Status: Engaged
At the end of the season, Vanessa Drozda ended up getting engaged to Logan Goodrid. While Logan made it seem like he was breaking up with Vanessa by asking for her promise ring back, he got down on one knee on commitment day.
At the singles resort, Vanessa revealed that she is 49, and Logan revealed that he is 29. According to Vanessa, she has a few kids and has been engaged a few times, making this her fifth proposal.
After family visits, Vanessa told Logan that her friend was worried that they had been “fighting.” She questioned, “Does this, like, define us? Are we more than just having little fights?” Looks like the little fights weren’t enough for these two to leave Canada without each other! The couple confirmed at the reunion that they are still going strong.
Pfeifer & Derrick
Relationship Status: Split
Pfeifer Hill and Derrick Fleming were locked into each other from the start. As of commitment day, the two were still going strong, even though Pfeifer was hesitant about leaving her life in Seattle to be with Derrick in Dallas.
After the 23-year-old and the 43-year-old dad of two sons (5 and 15) put on their promise rings, they prepared to meet the most important people in each other’s lives.
Following their family visits, Pfeifer told Derrick, “I think maybe I’ve been a little bit overly optimistic about things.” She explained that she was having a hard time with her “personal values” as she had previously told herself she wouldn’t change her life for a man. Crying, she confessed, “I’m giving up everything [to be with you].”
Despite Pfeifer’s absence from the reunion, Derrick confirmed that they split a month after filming. From finding out that Pfeifer still lived in a sorority house to the distance between them, the duo realized that their lifestyles were too different to make their relationship last.
Libby & Andrew
Relationship Status: Still Together
While Libby Vodicka and Andrew Wheeler were both caught in love triangles during the early episodes, they ended their connections with David Gull and Katharine Newman to become exclusive with each other. In the promise room, Libby revealed that she was 22, making her 16 years younger than 38-year-old Andrew.
On commitment day, Libby and Andrew decided to stay together after the experiment. He told her, “No matter how much I doubt the age gap, the distance, the timing, I don’t doubt the way I feel when I’m with you.”
While meeting each other’s friends went very well, Andrew voiced that he was still worried he was holding Libby back, even though she was looking for a “stable” relationship. The season’s youngest single and the self-proclaimed “hot dad” revealed at the reunion that they are still together.
Leah & Chris
Relationship Status: Split
Leah Woolfolk revealed that she came to Age of Attraction to find her person, and she was hoping that Chris Dahlan was that guy. However, on commitment day, Chris called off their relationship, even though Leah was ready to continue exploring their connection back home.
In the promise room, Leah revealed that she is 41, while Chris revealed that he is only 26. While they were still together at the end of Part 1, Chris revealed that he felt Leah could be too clingy.
During Episode 7, Chris confessed, “I’ve never been broken down this much in a relationship.” He told Leah, “I want to be honest about that fact that the overbearingness, it’s quite literally driving me nuts.” Standing her ground, Leah responded that she was trying to do “a we thing,” while he was trying to do “a me thing.” Now, Chris is headed to Perfect Match Season 4!
Vanelle & Jorge
Relationship Status: Split
During Episode 5, the couple with the season’s largest age gap (33 years!) called it quits. After a scary encounter with a man on the street, 27-year-old Vanelle Fenmou and 60-year-old Jorge Sanchez shared an explosive argument. With issues ranging from Jorge’s reaction to their encounter, Vanelle’s celibacy, and Jorge withholding the fact that he has kids, the duo could not salvage their relationship.
