During the Season 4 reunion of The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On, breakout cast member Ashley Wilson revealed that her mom, Tracy Jo Wilson, who appeared on the season, had died. Now, Ashley has broken her silence about her mom’s mysterious cause of death and confirmed new information.
Chatting with Swooon on July 14, Ashley revealed that her mom suddenly died seven weeks prior, roughly three weeks before filming the reunion. At the time, Ashley did not confirm how her mom died. On August 3, she opened up about losing her mom, explaining on the Baddie Bestie Podcast, “There’s a lot of speculations of how she passed, and it’s— none of them are accurate because we don’t have an answer.”

Who was Tracy Jo Wilson?
Tracy Jo Wilson, who is remembered at the end of The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On Season 4, is Ashley’s mom. She was married to Wayne Wilson, the CEO and Founder of SynergenX Health. Her obituary revealed, “Tracy met the love of her life, Wayne Wilson, when they were children. What began as a childhood friendship grew into a love story that lasted more than three decades. They married shortly after high school and built a life filled with devotion, laughter, family, and lasting memories.” Together, they had two children and three grandchildren.
When did Ashley’s mom die?
On May 27, 2026, Ashley posted that her mom had died the day prior at 50 years old. She wrote, “I’ve never thought I’d say these words. I never thought I’d lose you like this mom. You’re my best friend. Our rock. I don’t want to believe this is true. I’m still hoping to wake up from a bad dream. I can’t believe I’ve lost you. I will make you proud. I will keep our family close and make it my life mission. You’ve taught me everything. You’ve taught me how to love hard. You’ve taught me grace. You are the world’s most perfect person, mom, sister, best friend, daughter and loved by so many. You are literally an angel, rest in peace mom.”

How did Ashley’s mom die?
In a recent podcast interview, Ashley provided more clarity about her mom’s death, revealing that her family does not know what caused Tracy’s death. She explained, “I guess the main thing I would want people to not do is assume things.” According to Ashley, her mom had neck surgery two weeks before she passed. Ashley confirmed, “She was found asleep, so we don’t have answers of what happened yet. We’re still waiting on that.”
