Jeff Bezos & Lauren Sánchez Are Married After Star-Studded Venice Wedding

Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez are officially husband and wife. The couple tied the knot in Venice on June 27 in front of their family and friends, including several familiar celebrity faces. The wedding took place on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore, according to People.

Guests at the wedding included celebrities including Kim Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner, Khloé Kardashian, Orlando Bloom, Tom Brady, Leonardo DiCaprio, and many more. The stars began arriving in Italy in the days leading up to the big event, and everyone gathered at a lavish welcome party on June 26.

While it’s unclear exactly when Bezos and Sánchez started dating, they were first linked at the beginning of 2019. While they kept their relationship private at first, she opened up about their love in an interview with WSJ magazine in 2023.

“We love to be together and we love to work together,” Sánchez shared. “We fly together. We work out together. We’re together all the time.” That May, it was confirmed that the two had gotten engaged after more than four years together.

For the most part, the pair kept details of their nuptials under wraps, although Sánchez did admit on the Today show in November 2024, “I have to say, I do have a Pinterest. I’m just like every other bride, so I do have a Pinterest board.”

Bezos was previously married to MacKenzie Scott from 1993 to 2019. They share four children. Meanwhile, Sánchez has a daughter and son with ex-husband Patrick Whitesell, whom she married in 2005 and divorced in 2019. She also has a son with ex Tony Gonzalez.

In a November 2023 interview with Vogue, Sánchez opened up about Bezos’s proposal and revealed that he popped the question by hiding her engagement ring under her pillow after dinner. “When he opened the box, I think I blacked out a bit,” she shared, adding that she had already taken her makeup off when the big moment happened.

She also confirmed she would “100%” be taking her husband’s last name. “I am looking forward to being Mrs. Bezos,” Sánchez gushed.
