Where Is ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ 2025 Filmed? All the Details About the Location
Among many changes made to Bachelor in Paradise for Season 10 was its location. The show was previously filmed at Playa Escondida resort in Sayulita, Mexico, from Seasons 2 to 9, and at Casa Palapa resort in Tulum, Mexico, during Season 1.
In 2025, the location is getting an upgrade. After years of contestants complaining about the crowded sleeping arrangements and lack of air conditioning in Paradise, ABC has moved the show to an entirely different country and more upscale resort. Where is Bachelor in Paradise 2025 filmed?
Season 10 was filmed at the Azura Beach Resort in Samara, Guanacaste, Costa Rica.
“The hotel is more upscale and has a sexy chicness to it that feels more elevated than the traditional kind of Paradise world that we’ve been in. The cast can literally open the doors to their rooms and swim out into the pool under bridges, and then up to a beautiful bar that is touching the beach,” showrunner Scott Teti told Entertainment Weekly.
Rather than all the contestants being squeezed into one room with bunkbeds, they’ll each be getting one roommate to share a room with at the hotel. Plus, there’s access to a VIP suite if any couples want to sneak away for some private time (an elevated “boom-boom room,” essentially).
“The beach itself is private and unique,” Teti added. “There’s a beautiful island right off it with a bunch of fishing boats that surround it every day, with a quaint little town right next door, but not a ton of foot traffic. It feels remote and upscale and sexy at the same time.”
Why did Bachelor in Paradise change locations?
Teti told Entertainment Weekly in another interview that the location change was already being implemented before he joined the team. “I think the drive to move was based on shaking things up stylistically with a new vibe and a new kind of Paradise,” he explained. “This also is very production friendly. It’s a very private beach. It’s very secluded, but it also has the ability for our production to stay on one side of the sister hotel, and the newer portion of the Azura Beach Resort, where we will be filming, is right next door. It’s this beautiful sexy, new location.”
When did Bachelor in Paradise film in 2025?
The show filmed in May 2025, with production beginning around May 3. Filming generally only lasts about three to four weeks. Season 10 premiered on Monday, July 7.
