Real-Life Love
‘Madam Secretary’ Costars Téa Leoni & Tim Daly Married

From onscreen spouses to real-life husband and wife! Madam Secretary fans, Tim Daly and Téa Leoni have finally tied the knot.
Leoni played Secretary of State Elizabeth McCord (and later POTUS), while Daly played her husband, Henry McCord, on the hit CBS series. Over a decade after they first started dating, Leoni and Daly got married. On July 12, the longtime couple said “I do” in New York, per TMZ. They were surrounded by close family and their children at their wedding.
Leoni and Daly first met in 2014 on the set of Madam Secretary. The costars first got together during the summer of 2014, while filming the series, but they kept their courtship quiet until that December, according to People.

In 2015, Leoni and Daly’s costar Patina Miller shared that no one on set concretely knew they were dating until they made the public announcement. She shared, “Nobody really knew. You don’t want to go to your boss and be like, ‘Hey, so who are you dating?'” However, once everyone did become aware, the couple’s Madam Secretary family was thrilled about their romance going from the page to real life. As Geoffrey Arend put it, “[Daly] couldn’t be a nicer guy.” He added, “They’re really good together.”
Leoni and Daly both led public love lives before they got together. This marks Leoni’s third time down the aisle, having previously divorced both David Duchovny (married from 1997 to 2014) and Neil Joseph Tardio Jr. (married from 1991 to 1995). Leoni has two kids with Duchovny.
Daly is also no stranger to marriage, having been married to his ex-wife, Amy Van Nostrand, for nearly thirty years from 1982 to 2010. They have two kids together, Sam and Evelyn, who both appeared on Madam Secretary during the show’s run.
