Gavin Casalegno’s Jeremiah may not have ended up with Belly (Lola Tung) in The Summer I Turned Pretty — surely, that isn’t a spoiler by now — but the 26-year-old actor has already made it down the aisle. In fact, his wife supported him at the July 28 premiere of his first post-TSITP project, The Devil’s Mouth.
Casalegno, who had been keeping his dating life under wraps while he filmed TSITP, surprised fans when he announced that he’d married Cheyanne King. Casalegno’s Instagram post documenting their wedding day was the first time he’d shared Cheyanne’s face on his profile.

Who is Gavin Casalegno’s wife?
Cheyanne has been a registered nurse since July 2023, according to her Instagram. She studied nursing at Baylor University in Texas, earning her Bachelor of Science degree earlier that year.

“What an honor it has been to endure this journey with the Lord and be the first in my family to graduate college!” she captioned an Instagram post.
Cheyanne shares a religious background, like her husband, who has spoken openly about his faith. “I can’t wait to do ministry and love on people in the medical field and bring the light of Jesus into dark places! Thank you Jesus for such an opportunity as this.”
They have even more in common than that. The 25-year-old nurse seems to also hail from Texas, like her Dallas-native husband. At least, we think she lived there during her childhood, after finding what appears to be Cheyanne’s Hudl profile. (It certainly looks like her in the profile photo!) If it is in fact hers, Cheyanne played volleyball for Cypress Falls High School in Houston.
One thing we are sure of is that Cheyenne lived in Dallas for a time. She relocated to Los Angeles in January 2024, and you can watch her journey on her IG Highlights. In one photo, her now-husband appears to be rolling their suitcases through an airport parking garage.
How did Gavin Casalegno and his wife meet?
They met through a mutual acquaintances in Los Angeles, according to Casalegno, though they both happened to be living in Dallas at the time. “If I had to give our love story a name, I think I’d call it, ‘Met in a Far Place,'” he told Haute Living.
The actor said they became fast friends, bonding over their faith and shared interests, which includes volleyball. “We had a lot of similarities and spent a lot of time together doing those things,” he explained. “Emotionally, I was still growing, still maturing. She was very mature, and that scared me a little.”
Though it’s unclear when exactly the couple met, we do know when they made their relationship official. Based on Cheyanne’s Instagram Stories, they started dating in May 2023. She shared a photo to commemorate their one-year anniversary, which you can check out below.

After dating for a little over a year and a half, the couple said “I do” in November 2024. “I definitely think marrying your best friend helps,” the actor said when asked how their marriage works.

On TikTok, Cheyanne shared that she had moved to Thailand with her husband while he filmed The Devil’s Mouth. They spent about a month there last summer.
