A list of potential contestants for Season 2 of The Golden Bachelor was recently revealed. While not all of the ladies on the list will make the final cut for Mel Owens‘ season, the majority of them will be cast on the show, which premieres in September.

In addition to photos and names of the women, ABC also confirmed their ages, which has been a hot topic amongst fans following Owens’ June interview on the MGoBlue podcast, where he revealed how old he wants his contestants to be.

Owens, who is 66, said he’s looking for women between the ages of 45 and 60. So, how many of the women on the potential cast list fall within this range? Only THREE! The youngest woman is 58 years old, and there are two women who are 60. Aside from that, everyone else is between the ages of 61 and 77. See the list of ages below:

During the podcast interview, Owens detailed what happened when he told producers that he didn’t want to date women over the age of 60. “We had lunch with the executive producer. I said, ‘If they’re over 60, I’m cutting them,'” he shared. “[They said], ‘Oh, no, this is not The Silver Bachelor, this is The Golden Bachelor, but they’re going to be hot, don’t worry about it. Don’t worry about it.’ He goes, ‘You can’t use the word cut,’ I go, ‘That’s an NFL term.'”

Owens is a former football player who now works as a lawyer. He is divorced and has two children.

Aside from age, Owens also described the physical qualities he wants in a partner, which also sparked backlash. “They gotta be fit because I stay in shape,” he shared. “And I told [producers], ‘Try to stay away from the artificial hips and the wigs, that kind of stuff.'”

In addition to fans who slammed Owens for his comments, the reality star’s ex-wife, Fabiana Owens, also weighed in. “Good luck. I mean, it’s going to be bad,” she told Daily Mail. “But anyway, I don’t want to be involved in this.” The season should begin filming soon.
