‘Perfect Match’ Stars React to Season’s 3 Unprecedented Cast Twist (VIDEO)
The Netflix Reality Universe is growing!
Leading up to the August 1 debut of Perfect Match Season 3, Swooon sat down with members of the dating competition show’s cast for an exclusive preview of the upcoming season. Challenged with convincing fans to watch Perfect Match in only one minute, the reality TV alums did not hold back on teasing the epic drama and breathtaking romance that ensues during their season.
On June 25, Netflix revealed that Season 3 of their romance reality all-stars show would feature Netflix stars such as Too Hot To Handle stars Louis Russell and Lucy Syed, The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On star Sandy Gallagher, Love Is Blind stars AD Smith, and Love Is Blind: UK stars Freddie Powell and Ollie Sutherland. In a shocking twist, Netflix also announced that its new season would feature reality TV alums from franchises such as Siesta Key, Love Island, and Bachelor Nation, including The Bachelor Season 18 exes Clayton Echard and Rachel Recchia.
According to Sandy, viewers were not alone in this twist. The Ultimatum star revealed that the Netflix alums were not told that reality stars from outside of the Netflix Reality Universe would appear on Perfect Match until they started filming. She stated, “I kind of wish I knew that there were people outside of Netflix.”
Beside her, Netflix Reality Universe newbie Rachel was shocked to learn that Sandy and the other Netflix alums weren’t warned about the casting. Rachel asked her costars, “Did they not tell you guys?” In unison, Gallagher, AD, and Lucy Syed responded that they had no idea the Netflix Reality Universe was expanding.
What’s to come for Netflix alums and newbies alike? Well, Louis teased that fans should watch Perfect Match Season 3 because he is featured on it, so there’s that. Beyond the Too Hot to Handle star’s resurgence, the cast revealed that viewers can expect lots of tears, chaos, romance, and, of course, Freddie’s abs. We can thank Louis once again for that tidbit.
“See how me and Ollie fell in love,” AD told Swooon. AD previously announced that she and costar Ollie had gotten engaged during the Season 8 reunion of Love Is Blind. Since they started to live their life together publicly, the Perfect Match couple has also revealed that they are expecting a baby.
Above all else, the Perfect Match stars promised that viewers are set to experience a season of reality TV unlike anything that has “been done before.”
