During the August 4 episode of 90 Day: Hunt for Love, 90 Day Fiancé alum Chantel Everett went on a date with franchise newbie Rocky Russo, which was awkward, to say the least. Taking the 36 Questions to Fall in Love approach (we’ve all been there), Chantel accidentally put Rocky through a Q&A more akin to a job interview than a date. While their connection was strong during their romantic jet ski adventure, their one-on-one time made it clear that Chantel’s heart simply wasn’t in it for one major reason: Ashley Kotera Bowen.
As viewers, we have always adored that TLC has never shied away from featuring and celebrating queer relationships on 90 Day Fiancé. While Chantel’s connection with Ashley has yet to be featured on-camera, viewers have become very curious about who Chantel’s Ashley is and what went down between her and Ashley before Hunt for Love started filming.

Who is Ashley Kotera Bowen?
Ashley Kotera Bowen is a 36-year-old actress and musician from Alabama. While Chantel never explicitly stated that her friend Ashley is Ashley Kotera Bowen, it is clear from both of their social media presences that they have been close friends for quite some time. In this case, the proof is in the puppy profiles as both Chantel and Ashley run accounts for their dogs ( @khloe_bear_chanel_ and
@bella.thedog.bowen, respectively). In Ashley’s dog’s profile, she explicitly states that her dog Bella is the “best friend of [Chantel’s dog Khloe].”
Are Chantel and Ashley still together?
Yes, Chantel and Ashley are still together today. During an exclusive interview with Swooon, Chantel shared, “Ashley and I are still together, yes!” Later, she added, “Hopefully, Ashley and I just continue to grow our relationship and progress, and who knows? Maybe you’ll be seeing more of us. I definitely have grown a lot on all the 90 Day shows, and it is something that I would be open to doing again.”
On 90 Day: Hunt for Love, Chantel revealed that Ashley admitted to having feelings for her, and they kissed at a bar before she left for the show. “I was so shocked, and I really, I liked [the kiss].” She explained during a confessional, “It felt like my first kiss ever. But at the same time, I was so overwhelmed at what it all meant because I have not ever thought about dating a woman. What would that mean for me and my dating life, and my sexuality? Does this mean that I am a lesbian? Just like that? I don’t know.”
During her date with Rocky, Chantel explained, “This is nothing like the way I feel when I’m talking to Ashley. I feel so comfortable talking to Ashley.” Adding, “She hasn’t left my mind, and I don’t know what to do with that.”
During Episode 12, Chantel told Tim, “Before I decided to come [on Hunt for Love], someone who I just thought was a friend actually told me that they had feelings for me.” She later called Ashley via video to confess her feelings. With one episode left in the season, we’re certainly hoping to see Ashley take the stage with Chantel at the Tell All.

Why did Chantel and Rocky split on Hunt for Love?
Chantel and Rocky went on a date during 90 Day: Hunt for Love; however, it is clear a connection wasn’t there. During their first date, Chantel asked Rocky if he preferred his connection with her or with Tiffany, and he let her know that he had yet to make a decision. Rocky told viewers, “Chantel is clearly beautiful and voluptuous.” At the same time, Rocky appeared to be turned off by Chantel’s list of questions.
As Chantel put it, “The conversation is so awkward right now with Rocky. Maybe if it was meant to be, the conversation would be flowing, and I wouldn’t have to pull out my list.” Chantel even went as far as to say her date with Rocky made her feelings for Ashley grow stronger.

Who did Chantel marry on 90 Day Fiancé Season 4?
Before her time on 90 Day: Hunt for Love, Chantel got married to Pedro Jimeno during Season 4 of 90 Day Fiancé. The couple was then featured on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? Seasons 2-4, before receiving five seasons of their own spinoff show titled The Family Chantel, which concluded following Chantel and Pedro’s divorce.
