Todd and Julie Chrisley‘s prison release sparked a reconciliation — albeit brief — between Savannah Chrisley and her ex-boyfriend, Robert Shiver.

“Once mom and dad got out, my ex and I thought, ‘Maybe, let’s give this another go,'” Savannah revealed on the Tuesday, August 5, episode of her Unlocked podcast. “And we hung out some, we went on a trip, and had the absolute best time because we truly were best friends. And we were keeping it super quiet.”

However, Savannah said that “one thing led to another,” and the two ultimately decided to part ways for a second time this year. “We were back together, and then I kind of got ghosted. I don’t know how that happens, but I did,” she revealed. “And then after 24 hours, I was like, ‘You know what, Savannah? You deserve better.’ Not necessarily a better person — because I will forever go down by saying he is a phenomenal human being — but life circumstances and situations have a way of dictating your feelings, emotions, and actions.”

Savannah noted that she had never been “ghosted” (a.k.a. someone cutting off all contact with you) before, so she “didn’t know how to act.” She added, “And then after 24 hours of not hearing from him, I was like, ‘Savannah, no, you deserve better behavior than this.’ So, I blocked him, blocked him on everything. Instagram, text. Basically, I am dead to him.”

Back in April, Savannah revealed on her podcast that she and Shriver had parted ways the month prior after nearly two years of dating. Her parents, Todd and Julie, were later released from prison in May after receiving pardons from President Donald Trump. (The couple had been serving multi-year prison sentences after being found guilty of bank fraud and tax evasion in 2022.)

On Tuesday’s podcast, Savannah said she was upset by her and Shiver’s second split. “We were going to finally, both of our lives were settling down, and we were going to end up together. And he had come and spent time with my family, my parents. And then a week later, I get ghosted. So I don’t know,” she shared. “But yes, I was extremely upset and sad and heartbroken. But like I said, I put so much time, money, energy, and effort into that relationship that finally, I had reached a point that I realized I deserve for someone to appreciate me and how I show up, when I show up, respect me and my value.”

Now, Savannah said she’s entering a “new era” of life where her priority is “finding my self-respect, respecting myself enough to walk away, [and] respecting myself enough to say no or to say yes.”

She also clarified that she still loves Shiver “to death” and is “grateful” for the role he played in her life during their relationship. Savannah said she also loves his three sons, whom he shares with his ex-wife, Lindsay, and will “always be a safe place for them to land if they ever need it.”

“I’m so excited and hopeful for the future and where it leads because I’m not looking to waste away my life,” she said while wrapping up the ghosting discussion. “I’m not looking to waste memories on people who aren’t going to be in my life forever.”
