Donnie Wahlberg Takes Break From ‘Boston Blue’ for Date With Jenny McCarthy
When in Canada! Donnie Wahlberg is hard at work filming the Blue Bloods spinoff, Boston Blue, in Toronto, but he always makes time for his wife, Jenny McCarthy.
On August 10, McCarthy shared a video of her date with Wahlberg in Canada. The couple had a blast on their day out together. No matter how busy they are, these spouses always find ways to keep their marriage fun and exciting.
McCarthy and Wahlberg recently went to Canada’s Wonderland amusement park to unwind. “A day date in the sun with the mister,” McCarthy captioned the video compilation.
The Boston Blue star filmed The Masked Singer judge getting soaked by a ride. They’re clearly not afraid of roller coasters! The couple enjoyed several thrilling rides during their trip.
Wahlberg knew exactly where the cameras were during the roller coasters. In one photo, Wahlberg could be seen sticking his tongue out at the camera. The couple shared some sweet PDA moments on the coasters.

Despite the Blue Bloods spinoff being set in Boston, the upcoming CBS series will be filming in both Toronto and Boston. “It’s really dire straits financially in the industry, so I’m really fortunate to be making a show,” Wahlberg revealed on the Billy & Lisa in the Morning podcast. “I’m really fortunate to be able to go to Boston and work at all.”
The Boston native continued, “The goal is, let’s compromise to get the show made. We’ll work outside and do exteriors in Boston, and then in success, perhaps we can come down there and be there full time. That would be a dream of all dreams.”
The couple recently opened up about the loss of a longtime New Kids on the Block fan named Kelly. Wahlberg penned an emotional message following Kelly’s death. “She will be missed. She will be remembered. She will be celebrated. It hurts, a lot, and it’s going to hurt for a long time. But I know that I will see that smile, and that gorgeous red hair, again,” he wrote on Instagram.
McCarthy remembered Kelly in her own post. “I finally got to meet the wonderful ‘Minnesota girl’ that Donnie kept raving to me about,” she said. “Only to find that you were even more wonderful than he described. I am completely devastated, knowing that I will not get to know you more. I truly felt like I met a friend when I met you. Donnie and I will miss you so much and we will look in on your beautiful Keira. Rest peacefully my beautiful friend.”
