Jana Duggar Is Pregnant! ’19 Kids & Counting’ Star Expecting Baby No. 1 With Stephen Wissmann
Just days after celebrating their one-year wedding anniversary, Jana Duggar and Stephen Wissmann shared some exciting news with fans: They’re expecting their first child!
The 19 Kids & Counting alum made the announcement on Instagram in a joint post with her husband. Her growing baby bump was on display in the photos, and the pair shared more information, including the month the baby is due, in the caption.
“We are so excited, January 2026 is going to come with a little bundle of joy joining our family!” the couple gushed. “We’re counting down the days and eagerly looking forward to this thrilling new chapter in our lives!”
The comments section was filled with congratulatory messages, including one from Duggar’s sister Jill Dillard, which said, “So excited for y’all!”

The eldest Duggar sister first met her now-husband in 2011. He and his family used to “travel and sing,” she revealed to People. During one of their trips, they got snowed in at the Duggar house.
“I remember just playing games late into the night, doing puzzles together until the snow melted off, and they were able to travel back home,” Duggar recalled. “I don’t really remember Stephen that well because I’m older than him and so he was not at all on my radar.”
A few years ago, Duggar and Wissmann reconnected and even dated for a bit before breaking up. Then, her brother Jeremiah Duggar married Wissmann’s sister, Hannah, in 2022.
By early 2024, the now-married couple decided to give their relationship another shot and were ready to take it more seriously. They secretly got engaged that June and tied the knot just two months later.
“I had been a slower mover on it, but just over time, his character, his coming back, still loving me no matter what,” she told People. “I know we have a big crazy family and still kind of putting up with a lot of things. I’m like, my goodness, there are not too many people that do that. He must really, genuinely care about me.”
