Are ‘Big Brother’s America Lopez & Cory Wurtenberger Still Together?
America Lopez and Cory Wurtenberger formed a showmance on Season 25 of Big Brother in 2023 and continued dating after the show. Earlier this year, she headed out to film another reality show, The Challenge, in Chile without her boyfriend of two years.
Season 41 of The Challenge is currently airing, and Lopez’s costar Johnny Bananas made some shocking claims about her following his elimination during the Wednesday, August 20, episode. “The best night that [America] had was the night when she got annihilated and made out with, like, f**king four people,” Bananas said on his Death, Taxes, and Bananas podcast. “Tried to make out with CT [Tamburello], was making out with Dee [Valladares] on the bus.”
His guest, Zach Nichols, clarified, “Those rumors [about CT] are true?” and Bananas replied, “One hundred percent.” When Nichols asked, “And she had a boyfriend?” Bananas alleged, “Yes, can confirm. One hundred percent, America went absolutely f**king apes**t that night. And the fact they didn’t show it, I’m like, ‘This is ridiculous.'”

Yes, the couple appears to be going strong. Earlier this month, she posted photos of them spending time in Greece together. He also still has their couple name, “Americory,” in his Instagram bio.

In a recent video with fellow Big Brother cast members, Lopez and Wurtenberger can be seen dancing together before a music festival as well.
While Bananas’ claims are shocking, rumors about Lopez and Tamburello were fairly rampant as The Challenge was filming earlier this year, so it’s likely Wurtenberger has known about the alleged situation, although it remains to be seen whether this very public accusation will change anything.

The couple lives together in Nashville, Tennessee. After Big Brother, she went back to Texas, and he went to Nashville where he was finishing school at Vanderbilt University. Just five months later, she moved to her own place in Nashville on January 1, 2024, and after that semester of school ended for Wurtenberger, he moved in with his girlfriend.

No, they are still dating. She previously admitted that there’s no rush to walk down the aisle (if it’s something they ever even do).
“We talked about this a lot and I was open in the house about not wanting to get married ever,” Lopez told Us Weekly in 2024. “With Cory, I’ll catch myself being, like, ‘If I were to get married, this is the kind of ring I’d like.’ But we just moved in together. Cory still hasn’t finished college.”
