Netflix Reality Romance
Are ‘Perfect Match’s Lucy Syed & Freddie Powell Dating? She Says…

Perfect Match Season 3 stars Lucy Syed and Freddie Powell ended the show with Daniel Perfetto and Madison Errichiello, respectively. However, both of those relationships are confirmed to have ended, and fans now think Lucy and Freddie are an item.
The rumors came about earlier this month when fans noticed that the reality stars, who are both from the U.K., posted separate photos from the same spot on Instagram. Lucy, who won Season 3 with Daniel, appeared on the Thursday, August 21, episode of The Viall Files podcast and addressed the rumors once and for all.
Lucy and Freddie are NOT an item. “I love Freddie to bits, but we are just friends,” Lucy confirmed. “Nothing going on. We basically just became each other’s photographers. That’s kind of what happened. We both work with the same brand, and we both needed to get content. So I’d write, ‘I need to get content,’ and he’d go, ‘I need to do content, too.’ So we’d end up in the same spot because he’d take it for me and be like, ‘Oh, that looks cool, do you mind doing it for me?’ So we’re just friends.”
When host Nick Viall asked why Lucy wasn’t interested in Freddie romantically, she explained, “Freddie’s so lovely, as everyone knows. I just don’t see him like that. Even on the show, we had that one conversation that was aired, but we just never had that kind of relationship. It’s just always been friendly. I’ve met up before with him in London. We went walking around. It was just kind of like walking around with my brother.”
In fact, Lucy is actually “dating someone” else. “He’s not in the TV world,” she explained. “Very, very, very private. I texted him before this podcast, I was like, ‘Are you OK if I just say I’m in a relationship, just so everyone knows?’ Also that’s why I wanted to put those Freddie rumors to bed.”
Things seem to be serious in this new romance. “[I’m] very happy,” Lucy gushed. “I would like to be engaged in a year, so we’ll see.”
