‘The Bachelorette’s Emily Maynard Is Going to Be a Grandma as Daughter Announces Pregnancy
Ricki Hendrick, the daughter of Emily Maynard and the late Ricky Hendrick (son of Hendrick Motorsports mogul Rick Hendrick), is pregnant with her first child. The 20-year-old announced the news via her Instagram Story on Tuesday, August 26.
Hendrick posted a photo of an ultrasound and quoted Love Island USA Season 7 star Huda Mustafa by writing, “Netflix told me I’m not allowed to talk about it.”
At first, fans weren’t certain whether or not the announcement was legit, but Ricki followed it up with a video ultrasound. She wrote, “My heart is full, yet my stomach is so empty because she hates all food. I’m convinced.” The second statement also confirmed that Ricki will be having a baby girl. She hasn’t announced her due date yet or disclosed information about the father of her child. As of publication, Emily has not publicly commented on her daughter’s baby news.

The Bachelorette alum learned she was pregnant with Ricki in 2004, just days after her then-fiancé died in a plane crash. She was 19 years old when she gave birth in June 2005.

In 2011, Emily was a contestant on The Bachelor and got engaged to Brad Womack during the finale. However, they split later that year, and she became the lead for Season 8 of The Bachelorette in 2012. At the final rose ceremony, Emily accepted a proposal from Jef Holm. They broke up that October.
Shortly after that, Emily reconnected with now-husband Tyler Johnson, whom she met at a church event before going on the dating show. They got married in 2014 and have since welcomed five children together. Their youngest child, Jones, was born in 2022.
In June 2024, Emily posted a birthday tribute to her eldest daughter on Instagram. “My beautiful girl. I’ll always and forever have your back,” she wrote, along with a recent photo and throwback photo of them together. “I love you and am so proud of the person you are. Happy 19th Birthday @rickihendrickk You’re a gift to the world!”
