’90 Day’s Colt Johnson Shocks With New Injury Reveal After ‘Hunt for Love’ Fall
First the trampoline, then the slippery deck, and now this? Colt Johnson, you cannot seem to catch a break.
During 90 Day: Hunt for Love, fan favorite 90 Day Fiancé alum Colt got into a shocking accident that altered the course of his singles’ resort experience — surprisingly, for the better. As viewers know, this isn’t the first time that a dramatic injury has altered a romantic relationship of Colt’s. According to the 90 Day star, one spill even led to a divorce!
Now that Hunt for Love has wrapped up, and Colt is continuing to explore his relationship with Cortney Reardanz, the reality star has sustained yet another injury. So, what happened?! What does this mean for his relationship status with Cortney?
Colt confirmed that his Hunt for Love injury had healed enough for him to walk in May during an exclusive interview with Swooon. Just a few months later, on August 31, Colt Johnson took to Instagram to reveal that he was in a car accident.

In the ominously concise post, Colt told his followers, “I was in a car accident last week, still healing up but doing better.” Photographed in front of what appears to be the Imperial Museum of Petrópolis in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Colt stood with the help of his crutches, hitting his followers with a smolder a la Flynn Rider in Tangled. And yes, he was still wearing his red beaded snake-esque necklace from the Tell All.

His Hunt for Love costar Elise Benson reacted with worry in the comments. “Wait what!!! Are you okay??!?” she wrote. Sumit Singh commented, “Hope you are doing okay. I think you need my astrologer’s #.” A fan also added, “You need to be wrapped in bubble wrap.”
Before his most recent injury, Colt fell on 90 Day: Hunt for Love as he was leaving Cortney’s hotel room. The Hunt for Love star told Swooon, “I left her room, and then I took a few steps, and then I slid [because] the deck was wet… I full send backwards, fell down, and no one was around.”
While the 90 Day alum’s journey was cut short by a trip to not one but two hospitals for surgery, he reflected, “[The accident] definitely brought [Cortney and my relationship] to a whole other level. I mean, not only are we pretending to be married, she’s there, she’s talking to doctors, she’s comforting me.”
According to Colt, this wasn’t the first time that a severe injury impacted one of his romantic relationships. During his relationship history recap with Swooon, Colt admitted that an unfortunate accident on a trampoline was one of the dominoes that took down his marriage with Vanessa Guerra. After three years of marriage, he said, “I actually broke my leg in 2022 on the trampoline. So that kind of really put a lot of strain on our marriage. And eventually it just fell apart altogether.”
Looking at Colt’s treacherous history, one can’t help but question how his most recent injury will impact his relationship with Cortney. Could this be the beginning of the end for the Hunt for Love couple, or will this injury allow them to grow stronger as well? Only time will tell.
