’90 Day Fiancé’ Couple Tigerlily & Adnan Reveal ‘Nightmare’ Incident on Son’s First Birthday Trip
Baby Zeyn may have just been born on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?, but 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days stars Tigerlily and Adnan Abdelfattah just celebrated his first birthday off-screen.
On August 30, Tigerlily shared a collaborative post with her husband, Adnan, featuring an adorable image of her son, Zeyn, holding the strings of a bundle of balloons twice his size. Together, they captioned the photo, “365 days of love, laughter, and pure magic. Happy 1st Birthday, our sweet Zeyn Eleven 🎈🎂.”
However, what started as a sweet birthday for their son turned sour when their full family traveled to a water park in Round Rock, Texas, to celebrate Zeyn’s birthday. On her Instagram Story, Tigerlily revealed, “Our family traveled to Kalahari to celebrate our baby Zeyn’s first birthday — but the trip ended in a nightmare.” She continued to share that they attempted to extend their stay at the resort, but the staff “refused” to give them keys for “nearly six hours.”
The more concerning difficulty came at the resort. Tigerlily explained, “Each time we stood in line like other guests, we were pulled aside and told we couldn’t be helped — while everyone else was being given access.” After repeatedly asking for the manager, causing Adnan to raise his voice, the manager came to speak to them. “She wasn’t apologetic, offered no explanation, and the entire interaction felt dismissive and wrong.”

When the Abdelfattah family decided they could no longer stay at the resort. That’s when “the unthinkable happened.” Tigerlily continued, “Minutes after valet returned our camper van, thick smoke erupted from the back while we were driving with our children inside. In seconds, I threw the doors open and pulled the kids to safety while Adnan charged toward the flames and put out the first himself.”

While it is unclear how the fire started, Tigerlily made it clear that they had not seen their van since they dropped it off with the hotel staff at the beginning of their stay. According to Tigerlily, both the fire and police departments filed official reports of the incident, starting an investigation of the resort’s surveillance footage. “The only people who had access to our van during this time were valet or hotel staff,” she said. Tigerlily assured her followers, “We’re shaken but grateful our children are safe,” adding, “families deserve better.”

Tigerlily and Adnan are currently featured in Season 9 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?, a 90 Day Fiancé spin-off that follows fan-favorite couples from previous seasons of shows within the franchise. During the season, their family, which had consisted of the couple and Tigerlily’s two sons from a previous marriage, welcomed their son Zeyn. With Adnan set on Tigerlily and his son joining his faith, tensions ran high leading up to Zeyn’s birth.
