‘Bold and the Beautiful’ to Launch Its First-Ever Gay Male Romance — Meet the Couple
The Bold and the Beautiful is stepping up its game with even more romance this fall. The long-running soap is marking a major milestone with its first gay male romance.
The CBS sudser has cast actor Harrison Cone in a key role, and he’ll be in a relationship with a notable B&B character, Deadline reports. The new pairing will also make B&B history with the show’s first onscreen kiss between a gay male couple.
Cone will play an aspiring designer. His character’s name has not been revealed because he has a connection to a major B&B character. Cone’s character will be in a relationship with Remy Pryce (Christian Weissmann).
The actor recently appeared as Davis in an episode of The Summer I Turned Pretty. Cone also had roles in American Horror Stories and Hacks.
After the news of Cone’s casting was revealed, Weissmann shared a screenshot of the announcement on his Instagram Story that had “Remy’s queer and we all cheered” written above it. He added, “My official statement.”
Weissmann joined the soap in 2024. He’s a Daytime Emmy nominee this year in the Emerging Talent in a Daytime Drama Series category.
The show’s cohead writer, Michael Minnis, previously teased to TV Insider that “there’s a couple of younger characters that are tied to our major families that are going to be coming in.” Cone’s mystery character must be one them!
While this is the first gay male couple to grace the screen on B&B, it’s not the first time there’s been LGBTQ+ representation on the soap. Karen Spencer (Joanna Johnson) and Danielle (Crystal Chappell) were B&B’s first lesbian couple.
