Which Season of ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ Is Best? (POLL)
The Summer I Turned Pretty isn’t quite over yet, but for the most part, the bulk of Belly’s (Lola Tung) story has been told. Since we’re still waiting for the final movie to come out (that finale episode is still on our mind), let’s reflect on the three seasons that we’re working with so far.
Season 1 was nostalgia at its finest. It set the groundwork for the messy love triangle between Belly and the Fisher brothers. We couldn’t look away for a second. The first season introduced us to Cousins and the beach house, and Susannah (Rachel Blanchard) was still in the picture. Season 2 took a darker and more emotional turn after her death, but it was every bit as captivating. The love triangle finally started love triangle-ing, stirring up tons of drama along the way.
Then came Season 3, which we all assumed would wrap the story up. It begins with a time jump, transforming all the teens into adults and the storyline into a more mature one. There’s Belly and Jeremiah’s (Gavin Casalegno) called-off wedding, Belly’s escape to Paris, and her emotional reconciliation with Conrad (Christopher Briney) all in 11 episodes. A lot goes down, needless to say, but we’d be lying if we said we didn’t eat it up.
We definitely have our own opinion, but we’ll turn it over to you, reader. Which season of The Summer I Turned Pretty is better than the others? Will the classic Season 1 always hold a special place in your heart? Or did you like the direction the story took in Season 2 better?
