Since Kate Gosselin‘s divorce from Jon Gosselin in 2009, she has mostly kept her personal life out of the spotlight … until now. On September 22, the former reality star confirmed that she’s in a relationship.
“I am dating somebody for the past year,” Kate said in a September 22 TikTok video. “A little over a year, maybe 14, 15 months. I am super, super happy. It’s somebody I’ve known for a really long time and I am very, very happy.”
While Kate admitted that her man “doesn’t really want to be on TikTok,” she said fans may “catch a peek of him here and there going forward.” She did not reveal her mystery man’s identity, but Page Six reported that the man in question is Steve Neild.

Who is Kate Gosselin’s rumored boyfriend?
Steve Neild is Kate’s former bodyguard. He joined Kate’s security team in 2008, according to Us Weekly. At the time, Jon & Kate Plus 8, which aired from 2007 to 2009, was at the peak of its popularity.
From 2013 to 2019, Steve worked as a security/safety consultant at Viacom, according to his LinkedIn. He’s now the owner of Prudent Risk Management International, LLC. Previously, he also owned Prudential Associates, a cybersecurity and digital forensics company.
Steve reportedly lives with Kate and the two have discussed marriage, according to Page Six. The outlet also reported that Steve was married when he was working for Kate back in 2008, but has since gotten divorced. He has two children.

Back when Steve was working for Kate as a bodyguard, there were rumors that the two were having an affair. Kate denied the allegations, but they have come to light once again now that she is rumored to be in a relationship with Steve.
Jon, who was also the subject of cheating accusations amid the divorce (which he denied), fueled the rumors of Kate and Steve’s alleged affair by posting a screenshot of Page Six’s article about the rumored couple’s romance. “Guess who really ruined the marriage. Read for yourself,” he wrote, along with the caption, “Maybe when I speak people will listen now!!!”
Meanwhile, Kate’s son Collin Gosselin, whom she’s been estranged from for years, also made shocking claims on social media about his mother’s alleged past relationship with the former bodyguard.
“What really upsets me is that my mom had an affair with our bodyguard way back in 2009, and for years would share hotel rooms with him while we went on family vacations, while I was in a connected room!” he claimed via his Instagram Story, per Us Weekly. “Now everyone thinks her being with him is some cute novel romance. By the way my dad received death threats and got shunned by the public for years for ‘having an affair’ and ‘leaving his kids.’ I hope she doesn’t try to play this one off. Just come forward and be truthful.”
In another post, he added, “What about when we’d go on vacation and you made me sleep on the hotel cot while you and Steve were together? Or when I’d be in a connected room while you shared one with him? What about when you were on Kate plus Date, but Steves [sic] home address was the same as yours? You’ve BEEN with him. You told me I broke our family when you couldn’t stay true to my dad. I’m not here to shame you. But you don’t understand the fact that dad and I have cried together from all the hurt. I’m done staying quiet.”
Kate has not responded to the resurfaced claims about her alleged past relationship with Steve.
