Hallmark’s Kevin McGarry & Eloise Mumford Weigh In on ‘Villa Amore’ Sequel
Could we be getting more Villa Amore on Hallmark in the future? The Italy-set rom-com premiered back in June and became an instant favorite.
When Calls the Heart‘s Kevin McGarry and fellow Hallmark star Eloise Mumford starred as Leo and Liara, who teamed up to renovate the Italian villa where her parents met. As they fell in love with Italy, the characters opened up their hearts to romance. Months after the movie’s premiere, McGarry and Mumford are discussing a Villa Amore sequel.
On September 25, Mumford shared a post on her Instagram Story about a house up for sale in Italy. “Hey @kevin_mcgarry_w let’s do ittttt,” she wrote. “I mean look at this place.” She shared another post of a house for sale and wrote, “Oh wow or this one — you pick @kevin_mcgarry_w.”
McGarry shared Mumford’s first post on his Instagram Story and added, “Sequel?!?!?” as well as “#villaamore.”

The costars are clearly open to a Villa Amore sequel — and possibly renovating an Italian villa. Hallmark Channel hasn’t announced any plans for a follow-up film, but it wouldn’t be far-fetched! Who wouldn’t want to see Leo and Liara renovating other houses?!
Mumford has already voiced her approval for a sequel. “I love these people (and this donkey). We already need a part 2,” she captioned a June 2025 Instagram post about the Hallmark movie.
McGarry previously gushed to Swooon that he loved working with the “immensely talented” Mumford and exploring Leo and Liara’s romance. “What brings them together is a connection they share to make more of their lives than what was given to them back home, to find happiness in an unlikely place,” he said. “A dilapidated, decaying, deteriorating, unlikely place.”
The When Calls the Heart star is currently filming Season 13 of the long-running Hallmark series, which is set to premiere in 2026. He’ll have some free time opening up soon — maybe a return trip to Italy will be in the cards.
