Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli have separated after 28 years of marriage. The estranged couple, who tied the knot in 1997, confirmed their split via a representative on October 2. “They are living apart,” the rep told People.

In recent years, the couple overcame major adversity when they were both named in the 2019 college admissions scandal. Loughlin ended up pleading guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud, while Giannulli pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud and honest services wire and mail fraud.

Giannulli served five months in prison from November 2020 to April 2021, while Loughlin was behind bars for two months from October 2020 to December 2020.

Loughlin and Giannulli split so they could “take a break from their marriage,” according to Loughlin’s rep.

In February, the pair put their Los Angeles home on the market for $16.5 million, although it’s not clear if that had anything to do with their decision to take time apart. At the time the separation was announced, the home was still on the market for a reduced price of $14.5 million. They purchased the mansion in August 2020 for $9.5 million.

Yes, Loughlin and Giannulli are parents to daughters Olivia Jade Giannulli (born September 1999) and Isabella Rose Giannulli (born September 1998). Since both women are adults, there will be no custody proceedings if this does eventually turn into a divorce case.

How did Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli meet?

The Full House star and Giannulli were introduced by a mutual friend at a restaurant in Los Angeles in 1995. At the time, the actress’ divorce from her first husband, Michael R. Burns, was not finalized.

Loughlin and Burns divorced in 1996 and she and Giannulli eloped just days before Thanksgiving 1997.
