The two love keeping fans guessing about their relationship status, and have played coy about what’s really going on. “Yes and no and sometimes and no and maybe,” Slowikowska told Interview magazine, while Chase said, “You’ll just have to stay tuned and decide for yourself.”
In February, Slowikowska posted a video of her and Chase kissing on Instagram, which she captioned, “It’s official.”

Days later, she uploaded a reel of photos of the pair and captioned it, “My person,” with a heart emoji.
However, in June, Slowikowska posted a video of Chase scrolling through an issue of Cosmopolitan and pointing out that there was a photo of the two with a caption that said they were dating.
“Please don’t make up s**t about me and my friend,” Slowikowska said in the comedic video. Chase read from the article, which claimed that he said he and Slowikowska were friends for a year and a half before they started dating. “I never said that,” he insisted, while she added, “That sounds like a great story, thank you, but it is completely false. Made up. AI is getting scarier and scarier by the day.”
Most of the duo’s reactions to their relationship status are flooded with jokes and sarcasm, so it’s never entirely clear what’s going on. And that’s the way they want it!

Yes, Slowikowska and Chase are roommates. They live in the Greenpoint neighborhood of Brooklyn.
In the Interview Q&A, the pair opened up about their favorite and least favorite part about being roommates. “Best part is having my best friend to do everything with me and I don’t have to invite him over,” Slowikowska said. “Worst part is when he eats my hot Cheetos. Oh, and Kyle always does the dishes, including mine, and that rocks.”
He added, “The best part is cooking for two and having a best friend to watch shows with and keep me in check. The worst part is doing dishes for two.”
