‘Nobody Wants This’ Adds Sarah Silverman & More New Cast Members for Season 3
Whether you were a Gossip Girl girlie, a stan of The O.C., or a Veronica Mars aficionado, Nobody Wants This is the perfect show for anyone who grew up loving romance. Luckily, the show has been keeping us fed with a new season every year since it first premiered in 2024.
And in November 2025, Netflix confirmed that there’s more to come from the rom-com. Shortly after the debut of Season 2, the streamer announced that Nobody Wants This has been confirmed for Season 3. Kristen Bell, who plays sex podcast host Joanne in the series, gave a filming update in February, followed by new updates from Netflix (including casting news) in March and April.
Nobody Wants This centers around Joanne’s relationship with Noah (Adam Brody), a rabbi, as they navigate how to be together despite different religious views. The show’s second season amped up the relationship drama, though, testing almost every relationship, and one of Season 1’s strongest couples didn’t make it.

Will there be a Season 3 of Nobody Wants This?
Yes, Netflix announced the renewal of Nobody Wants This on November 4, less than two weeks after Season 2 came out. The news was shared via a social media video, which featured Bell FaceTiming the rest of the cast to share the news.
All the clips were pieced together, concluding with her phone call to creator Erin Foster, who jokingly said, “Yeah, no, I knew that. I think I told you that. You’re not, like, calling the cast and telling them, right? Because I feel like I should probably be doing that.” Bell paused before replying, “No…”

Even before the official renewal, Bell seemed confident that the show would return for a third season. “The writer’s room is working right now,” the actress told Parade. “You never know if you’re gonna be able to shoot because that’s way above our pay grade, and they decide what shows are gonna be shot. But the writer’s room is writing it right now. That we know.”
Which cast members are returning for Nobody Wants This Season 3?
Netflix has confirmed that Bell, Brody, Justine Lupe (Morgan), Timothy Simons (Sasha), and Jackie Tohn (Esther) are all returning for Season 3, which didn’t come as a surprise, since they were all featured in Bell’s FaceTime video.

Who else is in the Nobody Wants This Season 3 cast?
More casting news was announced on April 8. Andrew Rannells joins the show as Sebastien, a nemesis for Joanne in conversion class. Keyla Monterroso Mejia will play Amber, a woman in Joanne’s intro to Judaism class who’s obsessed with finding a Jewish husband. Sarah Silverman is playing Rabbi Eden, the teacher of Joanne’s class who becomes a supportive presence for Joanne and Noah.
Additionally, Netflix revealed six guest stars for the new season. Avan Jogia will play Travis, a “confident and unbothered guy’s guy” who will get under Joanne’s skin. Erin Foster, the show’s creator, plays Nicole, a “terminally single and chaotic mess,” while Poorna Jagannathan is Eleanor, Sebastien’s aunt. Stephanie Koenig joins the crew as Poppy, a dating app regular who goes after Sasha, and Steven Weber plays Julian, a funny and cool divorced dad.
Is there a Nobody Wants This Season 3 premiere date?
Right now, Netflix has not confirmed a release date for Nobody Wants This Season 3, aside from that it will premiere in 2026. However, Bell confirmed on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show on February 27 that the cast will start shooting “right after the [Actor Awards]” on February 28.
“It’ll come out September, October … sometime this fall,” she teased. The past two seasons premiered about a year apart in September 2024 and October 2025, so this schedule tracks.

Netflix confirmed on March 24 that production had begun on Season 3, and even shared behind-the-scenes photos of the cast members on set.
What will happen in Nobody Wants This Season 3?
The show could go in a variety of different directions. Noah and Joanne have dedicated themselves to being together no matter what after a brief split, so new challenges will likely be thrown their way in a third season. Brody revealed to Parade that he would like to see Noah and Joanne get engaged “relatively soon.” He added, “I think if he could hit the gas, the pedal, in another area, that would be nice,” he said.
Now that Sasha and Esther have split up, will Sasha and Morgan finally go there? Sasha and Esther could go on separate journeys in Season 3, only to find their way back to each other. Maybe Morgan would get a solid love interest, and she’d just be a platonic bestie to Sasha.
Brody’s real-life wife, Leighton Meester, popped up in a cameo appearance in Season 2. If the Netflix series gets a season, we’re going to need to see Bell’s husband, Dax Shepard, show up.
