The Off Campus guys have been living in our heads rent-free for years, ever since we devoured Elle Kennedy’s college hockey romance series for the first time. Though Garrett Graham kicked things off as The Deal‘s love interest, the charming side characters instantly found a place in our hearts, too, including John Logan. We only fell more in love with him when he got the main character treatment in book two, The Mistake.
Naturally, we had to do a deep dive into the actor playing Logan in Prime Video’s TV show adaptation. What better way to occupy ourselves until Off Campus drops next year? Keep reading for everything we know about Antonio Cipriano, who’s bringing Briar University’s star defenseman to life.
Who does Antonio Cipriano play in Off Campus?
Logan is a junior hockey player at Briar U, and we come to learn in his book, The Mistake, that he’s equally guarded off the ice. Don’t get us wrong: Logan is sarcastic, charming, and a total playboy, and his confidence is backed up by some stellar hockey skills. He could go pro after graduation, but instead, he feels like he’s trapped in taking care of his dysfunctional family and running his alcoholic dad’s mechanic shop.
Determined to live it up while he still can — and keep the reality of his situation a secret from his best friends — Logan has a reputation for partying and hooking up with a lot of girls. He develops a crush on his best friend’s girlfriend, Hannah, which adds to his inner turmoil. After a chance encounter with freshman Grace Ivers, who has yet to be cast in the show, he eventually falls for her. (But of course, their road is far from easy. John makes a more than one mistake along the way. We still love him, though.)
What has Antonio Cipriano been in before?
Our John Logan has screen and stage roles on his resume. Cipriano made his Broadway debut in Jagged Little Pill in 2019, and he’s put out a few singles since. (Will we get an off-hand scene of Logan singing? Only time will tell.) His first series regular role was in Disney+’s since-cancelled National Treasure series. He played the easygoing Oren, and told Theatrely, “When you see a lot of yourself in a character, it’s easier to just kind of go right into it. It fits like a glove.”
Afterward, Cipriano signed on for Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin Season 2, playing the love interest to Bailee Madison‘s character. In 2023, he appeared as Buck in Harlan Coben’s Shelter. The 25-year-old also has a movie credit under his belt: 2025’s The Alto Knights, which also featured his Off Campus costar, Belmont Cameli.
Where is Antonio Cipriano from?
Cipriano is from a suburb outside of Detroit, Michigan. While he was in high school, the actor was involved in the musical theater scene there, winning the Sutton Foster Ovation Award for the state, performing in the Michigan Opera Theatre Children’s Chorus, and more. In 2017, he went on to become a finalist in the National High School Musical Theatre Awards (aka the “Jimmy Awards”).
“I did the Jimmy Awards, and then things sort of started happening,” Cipriano told Pop Culturalist. “I was like, ‘Okay. I feel like maybe I want to really do this. Things are working out. I could do this as a career.’”
Does Antonio Cipriano play hockey?
The actor has yet to reveal his hockey experience, but based on Prime Video’s social media posts, we know that he trained on the ice alongside the other main guys. “Let the training begin!!!! 🏒” he wrote on Instagram back in May.

Who is Antonio Cipriano dating?
If you were hoping that the John Logan actor was single, we regret to inform you that Cipriano is off the market. He’s been dating his girlfriend and fellow musical theater performer, Justine Verheul, since at least 2023. In 2025, the couple launched Might Be Smart Productions together, which offers musical theater masterclasses and performances.

In the past, Cipriano was rumored to have dated singer Renée Rapp from 2019 to 2021, though neither ever officially confirmed it. During that period, Cipriano posted several duets with Rapp on his YouTube channel, and they shared some scenes in HBO’s The Sex Lives of College Girls.
