By now, most Stranger Things fans know that Jonathan and Nancy’s onscreen romance turned into a real-life one. While we have yet to find out whether their characters will get their happily ever after, Charlie Heaton and Natalia Dyer‘s love story is still going strong, as well as their photo doubles’ real-life romance.
That’s right: Jancy inspired not one, but two couples to form in real life. Trevor and Jessica Jenkins (née Hill) both served as stand-ins during the Netflix drama’s five-season run. Jessica was Dyer’s stand-in — aka the person who stands in for an actor on set, giving them a break while the crew works out technical details like camera blocking and lighting. She also stood in for Winona Ryder‘s Joyce and Millie Bobby Brown‘s Eleven, per Instagram.
The couple met on set when Stranger Things Season 3 was shot six years ago. Once the season dropped in 2019, Jessica marked the occasion with some behind-the-scenes photos on Instagram, writing, “Being Nancy’s photodouble for Stranger Things Season 3 was a blast! I am so thankful for this opportunity and all of the beautiful people I met on set!”

One of those people turned out to be her future husband, who doubled as Jonathan. “I started working on Season 3 of Stranger Things as Jessica Hill, and now I am Jessica Jenkins!” Jessica wrote on Instagram shortly after Season 4 premiered in 2022. “I met my husband on this set, and some of my favorite people! Some good things happen in Hawkins!”
The couple tied the knot a year earlier in 2021, after they started dating in 2018. On his part, Trevor celebrated Season 3’s wrap on Instagram, too. “I didn’t get to pick the pose or the people, but the people aren’t half bad,” he wrote. “It’s been a pleasure to work on #strangerthings3 alongside everyone since April. It was a crazy ride of no sleep, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

Since then, the Jenkinses have documented their romance on social media, including their relationship milestones. “Happy anniversary to my favorite person 💗,” Jessica wrote in December 2024. “3 years married, 6 years together! This year you have truly been with me through sickness and health and I am forever thankful for you💗”
Most recently, Jessica shared some photos of herself in Nancy’s Season 5 costume, and she even threw in a selfie of herself and her husband next to Dyer and Heaton. “The Jancy multiverse ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️” one fan commented. Even if Jancy doesn’t end up together, at least we know that isn’t the case for both of their real-life counterparts.
