It wouldn’t be a season of Vanderpump Rules without a love triangle (or several). On the revamped version of the show, SUR’s assistant manager Demy Selem and bartender Natalie Maguire both have a history with fellow employee Paolo Gorsse.
During the Season 12 premiere, Demy kicked Natalie out of SUR when she came in on her night off and got into a confrontation with Paolo. In confessionals, the cast explained that Demy dated Paolo in 2023, before his relationship with Natalie began. Now, Demy is breaking down the love triangle in an interview with Swooon.
“I never once tried to claim that he cheated on me with her or anything like that,” Demy explains. “She has that in her mind, for some reason.”
Demy also says that the Paolo situation is “irrelevant” to any issues she has with Natalie. “We became friends, and we just happen to have that connection because of Paolo,” she explains. “I wouldn’t say that has anything to do with our friendship. We got extremely close, and then we weren’t close.”

Rather, Demy says her problems with Natalie stem from the way the latter handles certain situations in general. “I’ve had to block her number multiple times because if I’m annoyed with her, she blows up my phone [with] 200, 300 texts in a row. I’m not exaggerating,” Demy reveals. “She has no respect. I’m being very calm. I don’t want to talk to you right now because I will say things you don’t want to hear. I don’t like to talk when I’m angry. If someone tells you, ‘Please leave me alone, you’re giving me anxiety, I’m shaking, please stop calling …’ I shouldn’t have to turn off my phone. I shouldn’t have to block you.”
When it comes to Paolo, Demy says she still considers him “one of [her] closest friends,” and points out that she’s known him for eight years. “It’s not like, ‘Oh, he and I were in love, and he left me for her,'” she insists. “In her mind, that’s what she thinks is being portrayed, but I just completely disagree.”
As for her relationship with Natalie now, Demy says things are always changing. “We are either good or we’re not good,” she shares. “Today, we’re not so good. Yesterday, we were fine. Ask me tomorrow … I don’t know. It’s very up and down with her.”
