Hollanov Nation, stop what you’re doing! Hudcon has arrived! Heated Rivalry stars Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie just made their awards season debut at the 83rd Annual Golden Globes on January 11, and let’s just say Heated Rivalry fans everywhere were thrilled!

Fresh off the Season 1 finale and the show becoming a global phenomenon, Williams and Storrie blessed us all by stepping out for the ceremony to present an award. Of course, Storrie and Williams made quite an entrance with “extra security” from UFC and a “Pink Pony Club” walk-on. While Williams took the stage with full confidence, Storrie walked out timidly, joking that he was a little nervous as this was their first Golden Globes. Their acting was everything. He told the crowd, “Hi, sorry. It’s a little nerve-wracking here, being at our very first Golden Globes.”

As Williams told Storrie to just imagine everyone in the audience is — you know — the duo realized that everyone in the crowd had already seen them baring it all. If not everyone, then definitely all of the moms and daughters. Consider yourself recognized by the Heated Rivalry boys themselves, girlies!

In the span of just a few weeks, Williams and Storrie have become household names. Yuna Hollander is working overtime with these two! Heated Rivalry has captivated the world. Practically everyone is invested in the love story between hockey players Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov. The Crave Canada series, based on Rachel Reid’s novel of the same name, remains one of HBO Max’s top shows.

While Williams and Storrie weren’t nominated for any awards, the presenters brought tons of new and returning viewers to the Globes. One fan confessed, “I admit i have never watched the Golden Globes before Heated Rivalry came out.” Another joked, “So.. do we all collectively close the golden globes after hudson and connor presenting?”

Fans were also thrilled by Williams and Storrie’s shout-out to the girlies, to which one wrote what we were all thinking, “Can’t believe connor storrie noticed me tonight at the golden globes (he said hi daughters).” Even those who weren’t actively watching the awards show were thinking of their favorite fictional hockey players during the ceremony, as one wrote, “I’m at a dinner party but lowkey staring out the window watching the neighbours watching the Golden Globes so I can see Hudson and Connor.”

On the carpet, Williams wore a stunning white ensemble with just enough buttons undone to make us swoon, while Storrie tamed his signature curls, sporting a sleek black-and-white tux.

Early on in the ceremony, host Nikki Glaser gave a shout-out to the show, joking, “Stories like these don’t always get told, and I hope that the success of Heated Rivalry is proof that American audiences are ready for more shows about hockey.”

The costars recently rang in the new year together in Vancouver, where Williams lives. Storrie traveled up to Canada to spend some time with his bestie. Just a day before the ceremony, Storrie posed with the cast of Off Campus at Amazon MGM and Vanity Fair’s fête at Bar Marmont in Los Angeles. Now, we can finally say that Ilya Rozanov has snapped a pic with Garrett Graham, Dean Di Laurentis, and our other fictional hockey hunks.

Thankfully for all of us, Heated Rivalry will return for Season 2. The series was renewed as the first season was still airing. Filming is set to start later this year, and creator Jacob Tierney is looking at a 2027 premiere. Heated Rivalry readers noticed that the book’s epilogue wasn’t in the season finale, but Tierney told Swooon, “Epilogues aren’t great TV, so in Season 2, that will happen.”

The second season will likely draw inspiration from The Long Game, the Shane-and-Ilya-focused sequel in Reid’s Game Changers series. “We’re going through time so quickly in this story, but The Long Game is so much more focused on the Centaurs and is a bit more settled into, I think, a two-year period, so I think that it will give us time to explore a bit more of the universe,” Tierney teased in our interview.
