Alexander Skarsgård
Alexander Skarsgård, born in August 1976, began his career as a child actor in Sweden. However, he wasn’t a fan of the unwanted attention this brought, so he quit and joined the Swedish Armed Forces instead.

After completing 18 months in the military, he visited Stellan in Los Angeles, reigniting his passion for acting. Stellan’s agent set him up with an audition, which ended up landing him his first American film role in Zoolander.
Alexander’s breakout role was on HBO’s Generation Kill. He then starred on True Blood for seven seasons and garnered awards buzz in Big Little Lies, where he played Nicole Kidman‘s husband. Some of Alexander’s other acting credits include The Northman, Succession, and his most recent film, Pillion.
The actor is in a relationship with Tuva Novotny, with whom he shares one son.
Gustaf Skarsgård
Acting “appealed” to Gustaf Skarsgård, born in November 1980, from the time he was a child, he revealed to Interview magazine. In order to perfect his craft, he turned down several roles and instead studied at the Swedish National Academy of Mime and Acting.

After getting his start in Sweden’s theater scene, Gustaf got his break in America in the 2003 film Evil. He starred on Vikings from 2013 to 2020 and has also appeared in Westworld, Cursed, The Way Back, and more.
Gustaf has been in a relationship with Caroline Sjöström since 2017. Their daughter was born in 2020.
Sam Skarsgård
Stellan’s third son, Sam Skarsgård, was born in June 1982. Rather than following in his father’s footsteps and pursuing a career in acting, Sam became a doctor, like his mother.
“He works at an ICU so he, on a daily basis, saves lives,” Alexander revealed in 2017.
Bill Skarsgård
In August 1990, Stellan’s fourth son, Bill Skarsgård, was born. In order to ensure that acting was truly his passion, Bill studied science in high school, but then began establishing himself in the entertainment industry.

He got his start in Sweden, then earned his first main role in America in 2013, starring on Hemlock Grove for three seasons. Bill played Pennywise the Clown in It and It Chapter Two. He also had roles in The Divergent Series: Allegiant, Deadpool 2, Nine Days, Eternals, and was in the Hulu series Castle Rock. Bill currently stars in It: Welcome to Derry.
Since 2016, Bill has been in a relationship with Alida Morberg. They have a daughter, born in 2018, and a second child, who was born in 2023.
Eija Skarsgård
Stellan’s only daughter is Eija Skarsgård, who was born in February 1992. Unlike the majority of her siblings, Eija did not pursue an acting career, although she has done some modeling. Per IMDb, she currently works as a casting director.
Eija has been married to her husband, Zeke, whom she met in 2011, since 2019. They welcomed their first child, a son, in September 2025. Zeke also has two children from a previous relationship.
Valter Skarsgård
Valter Skarsgård, the youngest child from Stellan’s first marriage, was born in October 1995. He has also dabbled in acting, mostly starring in Swedish productions. His first role was as a child in a short film that Alexander directed.
From 2016 to 2018, Valter was in the BBC series Black Lake. He also appeared in Netflix’s Katla and played Swedish hockey player Börje Salming in the miniseries Börje.
Ossian Skarsgård
Ossian Skarsgård, Stellan’s first son with his second wife, was born in 2009. He is only a teenager, but has already started acting. His first role was as a voice actor in 2017’s The Wife, and he starred alongside Bill in the 2022 film Burn All My Letters. In 2023, Ossian had a role in the Swedish television series Troilltider.
Kolbjörn Skarsgård
The youngest Skarsgård child, Kolbjörnm, was born in 2012. He’s also caught the acting bug. In his first role on Netflix’s Clark in 2022, he played a younger version of his brother Bill’s character.
He has since appeared in Kenny Starfighter and the Swedish series Blood Cruise, as well as the short film Neon.
