What To Know

  • It’s Not Like That is a new series starring Scott Foley and Erinn Hayes as neighbors Malcolm and Lori, who find comfort in each other after major personal upheavals.
  • The show explores whether their supportive friendship will evolve into romance as they navigate life as a widowed father and a newly divorced mother.
  • The series premieres January 25 on Wonder Project’s Prime Video channel in the U.S., with the first two episodes available at launch and weekly releases to follow.

Will they or won’t they? That is the question in Wonder Project’s new series, It’s Not Like That. Swooon is exclusively debuting a first look at Scott Foley and Erinn Hayes‘ show, which will have you wondering if this is TV’s next great slow burn.

Neighbors Pastor Malcolm (Foley) and Lori (Hayes) find solace in each other following major life-altering events. In our preview, these two are drawn out of their houses and into the middle of the street during a rainstorm. “I need you,” Lori tells Malcolm.

“I’m here,” Malcolm replies as the rain pours around them. (Every great romance needs a rain scene, right?) He takes Lori to a diner, but she doesn’t want to get out of the car. “I don’t want to eat,” she says. “But I don’t want to go home.”

Lori just wants to stay in the car… with Malcolm. “I don’t want to be around anybody else but you right now.”
