When 90 Day Fiancé franchise alum Luke Berry showed up to the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way Season 7 Tell All without his wedding ring, and let viewers know that he is no longer living in Colombia with his wife Madelein Perez, fans were convinced that the newlyweds had already called it quits.
Now that the Tell All has come to an end, Luke and Madelein have proven that they are not only still together, but they are taking a major step in their relationship. That’s why we’re questioning if the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way couple is hinting at a move from the spinoff to the franchise’s flagship series.

Why did Luke return to the States?
According to Luke, he is back in America because he needs cash. He told the rest of the cast, “I need money, so I am back in the States working.” He further explained, “I thought that I would be getting some money from a friend and finishing the land purchase and starting the hotel, and that didn’t happen as I thought.” Madelein added, “It’s really difficult to be a part of with him. But the economic situation is very hard right now. So the best things for successful [sic] is he go to work in the United States.”

Were Luke and Madelein approved for the K-1 Visa?
When asked if their plan is to have Madelein join Luke in the States, Madelein shared a “surprise” with the cast, exclaiming, “I just get approve my [K-1] Visa.” While the K-1 Visa is reserved for engaged couples, the duo shared that they applied for the visa a long time ago, before they had tied the knot. Luke revealed, “Prior to our wedding, we applied for the K-1, but we didn’t hear back, and we both got tired of the distance, so I moved to Colombia.”
Are Luke and Madelein legally married?
According to Luke and Madelein, while they consider themselves husband and wife, their marriage was not legally binding. He explained, “We went forward with the wedding, but right after the wedding, we got word that they received the application. So before we filed the paperwork to make it legally binding in Colombia, we just decided to go with the K-1 visa process.” While the couple eventually hopes to live in Colombia together, they’re hopeful that they can live in the States until they’re in a better financial situation.
Will Luke and Madelein be on 90 Day Fiancé Season 12?
With a K-1 Visa in progress, it’s hard not to theorize that Luke and Madelein will be on the next season of 90 Day Fiancé. While TLC hasn’t said anything about casting for Season 12 of the flagship series, Luke and Madelein are now eligible to be on the show. Since the duo is already a fan favorite, we’d expect to see them on either Season 12 or Season 13 if Season 12 has already filmed.
