All About ‘Love Is Blind’ Season 10 Star Steven Sunday, His Social Media Controversy & More
[Warning: The following contains MAJOR spoilers for Love Is Blind Season 10, Episodes 1-6.]
As soon as the Love Is Blind Season 10 cast was announced, fans of the dating social experiment were talking about 32-year-old finance bro Steven Sunday.
Early in the season, Steven connected with fan favorite, Emma Betsinger, who initially described him as a “silly, goofy boy.” After Emma noticed that their relationship wasn’t progressing and that Steven consistently interrupted her while she was speaking, she pulled the plug on their relationship. She chose to focus on her other connections with Alex Lowry and Connor Spies.
While Steven hasn’t appeared in more than two episodes of the season so far, his presence in the season has been a big subject of discussion online, as one woman has come out with shocking allegations against Steven. Below, we’re breaking down everything you need to know about Steven, his early split from Emma, and the social media controversy surrounding him.
Who is Steven Sunday?
Steven Sunday is a 32-year-old Ohio native who works in finance. As soon as he entered the pods, he told Emma, “Just to let you know, I’m not, like, the type of guy that’s gonna be diving super deep into hard-hitting questions.” Instead, he prefers someone with whom he can banter. On the show, he revealed that he is involved in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program, which creates one-to-one mentoring relationships with kids.
What is the social media controversy surrounding Steven Sunday?
When the Season 10 cast was announced in late January, an Instagram user posted Steven’s promotional photo on her Instagram Story, writing, “My heart is literally racing and I’m shaking bc this man came to my house and SA’d me a few months ago.” She later continued to allege that he did not “take no for an answer” and filmed her without her consent.
She claims this occurred in May 2025 (filming wrapped in March 2025), and she did not file a police report at the time. The user also posted a screenshot of her private story from May 16, 2025, and wrote, “Took me 20 hours to realize I was SA’d last night.” According to reality TV blogger storytimewithrikkii, multiple women have now come forward alleging similar experiences with Steven. Steven has now deactivated his social media and has not spoken publicly about the allegations.
Why did Emma Betsinger break up with Steven Sunday?
Steven told the streamer, “The best relationships I’ve had have been based on personality first, and looks were secondary.” However, once in the pods, Emma told him that she was adopted at age three, leading him to respond, “I feel like, obviously, it’s gonna identify something about you that maybe you haven’t shared with me yet.” From across the wall, Emma shared that she didn’t like that he was trying to “guess” what she looked like. He then cut her off to tell her that she was taking the process “like a shy girl, like hiding.”
After Emma opened up, sharing that she was adopted and has scars from surgeries that she had at a young age, he told her, “I’ll tell you how far I’m willing to go to share details about my life.” He then proceeded to tell her a lukewarm story about his first kiss at Barnes & Noble. When she told him that hers was in high school and wasn’t that memorable, he asked when she lost her virginity, then insinuated that she was a late bloomer because she didn’t have sex until college. “I don’t like the comment ‘late bloomer.’ I think everyone is on their own journey,” Emma responded.
As things got tense, Steven told Emma that she wanted to get deep, and he had, but she hadn’t. He had told her his first kiss and virginity stories, while she kept hers surface-level, despite having just opened up to him all about her childhood.
Ultimately, their conversation ended with Emma confronting Steven about his expectations and interruptions, telling him that her other connections are stronger. She told him, “I just don’t think we’re the right people for each other.”
