Terry Gannon is kicking off NBC’s Olympics coverage as he cohosts the network’s Milan Cortina Opening Ceremony with fellow sportscaster Mary Carillo. This isn’t Terry’s first rodeo with the Olympics. He’s been covering the Winter and Summer Olympics since 2010.

Who is Terry Gannon’s wife?

Terry is happily married to his wife, Lisa Gannon. They married in 1987 and live in Los Angeles. She was once a commercial actress. Terry frequently shares photos on Instagram of his wife during their date nights and travels all over the world.

How did Terry Gannon and his wife meet?

Terry and Lisa met in the weight room of Reynolds Coliseum on North Carolina State University’s campus. Terry played basketball for NC State and was a member of the iconic 1983 Wolfpack “Cardiac Pack” team that won the national championship. Lisa graduated in 1984.

After graduating from college, Terry worked as a graduate assistant for his coach, Jim Valvano, and briefly played professional basketball overseas before segueing into broadcasting. “Terry is like the ultimate professional, and he’s kind to everyone, and he treats everybody with a great deal of respect.” Lisa told NC State Magazine about her husband.

Yes, Terry and his wife have two children: Maddie and Jake. Both of their kids graduated from the University of Southern California. Terry and Lisa’s daughter, Maddie, has followed in her dad’s footsteps. She’s currently a White House reporter for Spectrum News.
