From Paris to the kingdom of Gullion! Nearly seven years after starring in the movie Paris, Wine & Romance together, Hallmark gems Jen Lilley and Dan Jeannotte are reuniting for A Royal Setting, Swooon can exclusively reveal.
“Working with Dan again was such a joy. Having history together makes the on-screen chemistry feel effortless—it’s already there, and you just get to play,” Lilley said. “We laughed a lot, worked hard, and I genuinely couldn’t ask for a better scene partner. I can’t wait for fans to see what we created—it feels really special!”
The new Hallmark movie will premiere on March 28 and follows Ruby (Lilley), a world-renowned gemologist who dreams of being a jewelry designer. When she is summoned to the kingdom of Gullion to restore its long-hidden crown jewels, she thinks this will be a week of quiet work. She never expected to fall for Prince Luca (Jeannotte), a modern royal with a vision for change.

As Ruby polishes ancient gems and even designs a new crown, she and Luca realize they have a shared longing for authenticity, purpose, and love. When tradition, duty, and meddling families threaten to keep them apart, Ruby and Luca must decide if love is worth rewriting the rules of royalty.
“Reuniting with Jen was such a treat! She really sets the gold standard for how great a costar can be. She’s so good at what she does, and such a professional… but also (and this is crucially important to me) she can be very, very silly,” Jeannotte said. “All around, she’s a wonderful person to be on set with. I consider myself doubly lucky to have had a chance to work with her a second time!”

Paris, Wine & Romance, which premiered on May 4, 2019, marked the first time Lilley and Jeannotte had worked together. “I was six months pregnant when we filmed Paris, Wine & Romance, so returning now for A Royal Setting really highlights how much time — and life — has passed in between,” Lilley gushed.
For Lilley, A Royal Setting is a “beautiful full-circle moment” with Jeannotte. Working together years later, she realized that they have the “same ease, same chemistry, but with the depth that comes from time and life lived.”
Both Lilley and Jeannotte have a long history with Hallmark. Jeannotte recently starred in the 2025 movie Love on the Danube: Royal Getaway. A Royal Setting marks Lilley’s first Hallmark movie since 2022’s Where Your Heart Belongs.
