While seven couples got engaged during Season 10 of Love Is Blind, all eyes were on Kevan Jones and his two romantic connections, Keya Kellum and Tyler Lainer, in the pods.
Of course, Love Is Blind fans are no strangers to a love triangle in the pods. However, things got messy between this trio early on when Keya overheard Tyler saying that she was definitely going to marry Kevan. From then on, all three were dating out in the open, with Kevan unable to choose between Keya and Tyler. As Tyler put it, “We’re just sitting ducks.”

Who is Kevan Jones?
Kevan Jones is a 32-year-old realtor who has been single for two years. Ahead of the experiment, Kevan told Netflix, “I’m most excited about finally meeting my best friend.” In the pods, he met two women who both had strong bestie potential. During his time in the experiment, Kevan told his potential partners that he wanted to be a dad and would be very accepting of queer kids.
Kevan also opened up about his childhood, revealing that his mother almost died when he was 18. He explained, “My mother, you know, had suffered kind of a pretty serious injury back when I was 18.” He revealed to Keya that she had to have her leg amputated due to the injury.
Who is Keya Kellum?
Keya Kellum is a 31-year-old marketing director who loves “a man about his business.” During her time in the pods, Keya revealed that she was raised mostly by her grandmother. “My dad passed away when I was 15, and our mom has always battled with addiction,” she said.
According to Keya, her father was incredibly into watches, which inspired her to start wearing one before she went on Love Is Blind. He would say, “Watches remind you of the time you have.” In the Ppods, she gave Kevan a watch as a gift to remind him of their time together.
Who is Tyler Lainer?
Tyler Lainer is a 33-year-old sales leader who’s “a proud girl’s girl.” She told Netflix, “My biggest struggle dating in Ohio is that I don’t be outside. I be in my bed, taking a nap. My hope is that my man is going to knock on my door someday and wake me. I’m the problem, not Ohio.”
Despite having an early connection, she almost left the experiment during Episode 2, since she thought he was going to choose Keya. She told Kevan, “I’m gonna have to stop you, I cannot listen to another speech about how great I am.” However, she eventually returned to the pods after production told her there was still a lot of time left on their date.
Did Kevan propose in the pods?
Kevan proposed to neither Tyler nor Keya in the Pods, despite seeing a future with both of them. Throughout the first six episodes, he appeared to flip-flop between the two women, unable to make a lasting choice as to who he wanted to be with. During Episode 2, Kevan told viewers that Tyler was his #1 ahead of her walking out on him. Episode 4 saw Kevan saying he had decided to “let Keya win” before asking Tyler to be his girlfriend. Ultimately, Tyler told Kevan that he needed to call things off with Keya by the end of the day, or she would leave for real this time.
A producer asked Kevan, “What percent of your heart is with Keya, and what percent is with Tyler?” He responded, “I don’t know if I can put a percent on it. What I will say is that, for different reasons, there’s something that’s pulling me. And I truly don’t want to, don’t want to mess that up.”
Why did Tyler break up with Kevan?
At the end of Episode 4, Kevan went into the pods ready to tell her where he stood, admitting viewers that “she may be the one.” Instead, Tyler ghosted him. Self-eliminating, she told viewers, “I wanted somebody to love me the way that I’ve learned to love myself. This isn’t my husband, but just somebody on the journey.”
Back in the Men’s Quarters, Kevan told the rest of the guys, “I don’t blame her.” He later explained, “I ended up in a situation where there were two women I could see a future with, and I felt pressured to make a decision. I told Tyler that ‘I choose you,’ and for her to still run out after me saying that makes that look like Keya being the second option, which she’s not.”
Why did Keya break up with Kevan?
While it’s unclear whether Kevan planned on proposing to Keya, he went into the pods for the final time, hoping to be honest with her. He shared, “I still have time to make that decision, and the choice is mine.” In the pods, he told Keya, “I thought I had an idea of what I wanted out of my wife, but then I met Keya. You, Keya, you truly opened my heart.” He told her, “You are no one’s second option.”
“For clarity, I never felt like a second option ever,” she told him. However, she eventually explained, “Kevan, I have love for you, and you’ve said so many kind words to me. However, I’m not falling in love with you. I… I have to stand on business when I say that you are not the one for me.” Ultimately, she told him, “You are not meant to be anyone’s husband right now… You aren’t ready.” Walking back into the Women’s Quarters, Keya told the rest of the ladies, “I chose me, b****es!”
