While most couples‘ romantic getaways went off without a hitch, the first Season 10 episode drop left Devonta Anderson and Brittany Wicker in the middle of a major argument.
For the milestone tenth season of Love Is Blind, viewers were transported to Ohio, where the newest Pod Squad took on a journey for love, sight unseen. From the start of the season, it was clear that 32-year-old loan officer Devonta and 33-year-old registered nurse Brittany only had eyes for each other. However, now that the couple has come face-to-face, it’s clear that they may be looking for different things in a partner.
Scroll to find out all about Devonta and Brittany’s relationship so far, including when they got engaged, and if they’re still together.
Are Brittany and Devonta still together?
Yes, as of Episode 6, Brittany and Devonta are still together, even though the episode ends in the middle of an argument between them. While the couple has not officially pulled the plug on their recent engagement, it’s important to note that the duo is not seen in the preview content for the rest of the season. Could this mean that Cabo really is the end of their relationship, or is it just a red herring on Netflix’s end?

When did Devonta propose to Brittany?
It’s clear that Brittany came to Love Is Blind looking for love. She even bought a wedding dress before heading into the Pods! From Episode 1, Brittany was locked in on Devonta, and by Episode 4, the two were officially engaged. Ahead of his proposal, Brittany told Devonta, “I am grateful for you. Thank you for bringing me so much peace, comfort, and security. Even with not even physically being with you, I just feel so safe. I feel loved. I feel seen. And I pray for a lifetime of love, laughs, and lots of babies.”
While proposing, he told her, “I met my best friend, and I am excited to do life with you. Brittany Elena Wicker, will you marry me?” Of course, Brittany told him, “I can’t wait to be your wife.”
Why did Devonta get pulled out of the pods by production?
During Episode 3, Devonta told Brittany that he had been pulled out by production ahead of their date because his grandfather had died. He told her, “I do want to share something a little personal with you. I got pulled out by production, and my grandfather passed away.” He made the difficult decision to stay in the experiment, telling Brittany, “This is what my grandfather would want.”

Why did Brittany walk out on Devonta?
At the end of Episode 6, Brittany walked away in the middle of a conversation with Devonta. She had previously told him that she was looking for a little more connection. She confessed, “I don’t know. I just feel like we have not been, like, connecting with each other… It’s just like ‘Do you even, like, find me attractive?’ ‘Cause you don’t ever tell me. And do you even wanna be here with me? I literally don’t feel like we’re even engaged. I feel like we’re just hanging out.”
On the other hand, Devonta felt like they were in a good place. He told her, “The fact that I don’t wake up in the bed next to you, like, sorry, I get up early, and I don’t want to lay in bed all morning. I wanna be out here watching the sunrise, reading my book. I fall asleep out here. Like, that’s not me isolating from you.”
In the pods, Brittany told Devonta that she was going through a “season of celibacy,” vowing to wait until she knows that Devonta is the one before they do the deed, even though he gives her the “tingly winglies.” Feeling distant from Devonta in Cabo, Brittany told him that she would have sex if he thought it would bring them closer together. However, as she told him, “We should be in a honeymoon phase,” he responded, “Okay. We’re not — it’s not the honeymoon.”
As Brittany told Devonta that she wanted more, Devonta told her, “There’s just a lot going on in my head right now. All the stuff with my family, adjusting back to life. Like, there’s a lot to take in. And I’m walking back with someone not in my family anymore.” He continued, “I’m not saying your feelings aren’t valid, but I don’t know.”
Telling Devonta she was in “pure shock,” arguing that they should “want to be in each other’s space” if they’re getting married, Brittany walked away and shut the door. Guess we’ll have to wait until Part 2 to see if Devonta chases after her or lets her go for good.
