During Love Is Blind Season 10, viewers fell in love with Emma Betsinger, a 28-year-old retail merchandiser who has been incredibly open about her uncertainty about having kids.
Having been adopted herself, Emma explained to Swooon, “This was something that I knew coming into the pods, that I stood strong in my opinion of being unsure [about wanting kids. That’s not 100% yes, and that’s not no.” According to her mom, Emma was “a hard no for a long time” about having kids.
During our interview, Emma opened up about Mike’s introduction to her family, telling Swooon, “I was so excited to see them. My family’s my everything. I was so excited to incorporate Mike into my family and Mike into my life.”
Now that Episodes 7-9 have dropped, viewers received a window into her family, including her sister, Hannah, who made a shocking comment about her own desire to have kids. Scroll to find out everything we know about Emma’s family, sister, and more.
When was Emma adopted?
At the start of the season, Emma revealed, “I’m adopted into a White family from China.” Later, she explained that she was adopted at the age of three and does not have a relationship with her biological parents. During Episode 9, Mike met Emma’s family. She told viewers, “Mike is meeting the whole gang, my parents, my sisters… He’s gonna get interrogated by everyone.”
Not knowing her biological background, Emma confessed that she was worried she could pass down her birthmarks, which caused her to have multiple surgeries at a young age to prevent melanoma. Emma explained, “I had a great life growing up, but it was very, very tough mental roadblocks. Like, not feeling good enough, comparing myself to other people, like, I just don’t wanna bring a kid into that ’cause it’s tough.” When her mother asked, “Because of your scar?” Emma nodded, which led her dad to say, “We didn’t know.” As her mom put it, “She always handled herself with such strength.”
Who are Emma’s parents?
Emma’s parents are Stephanie “Tiffy Miller” Betsinger and Geoff Betsinger. On June 8, 2025, the duo celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary, posting an adorable photo together on Instagram. While Geoff used to work in regulatory affairs and was in the Marines prior to that, he currently lists his job on LinkedIn as: “Retired. Traveling, consulting and backpacking.” He even shared some of the trails he has hiked since 2022, including the Wainwright Coast to Coast trail in the UK, the Alta Via 1 in Italy, and the Superior Hiking Trail in Minnesota. Based on her Instagram photos, it appears that Stephanie joins Geoff on these amazing hikes.
On Love Is Blind, Stephanie explained, “She’s our baby. I guess, you know, there’s the adoption element of this, but we’ve never thought of her as anything but a member of our family.”

Who are Emma’s sisters?
Mike meets Emma’s sisters, Hannah and Cora. According to their dad, Emma is about three years younger than her sisters. Hannah and Cora both appear to be married, as Mike was able to meet Emma’s brothers-in-law, Tim and Hannes, as well as Emma’s nieces, Finley and Levi.
During their conversation, Hannah advocated for Emma’s uncertainty about having kids, making a shocking comment about her own life. She told Mike, “I grew up my whole life wanting to be a mom. I have two kids. And I wake up some days, and I’m like, ‘Why did I…?'” When asked if she regrets becoming a mother, Hannah confessed, “I would say, though, if I lived another life — I don’t regret having my children, I love my children — but if I got to the end of my life, and they said, ‘You can do it again,’ I wouldn’t have kids. Because there is a beautiful thing about living life for yourself, too.”
What has Emma said about Mike meeting her family?
When Emma sat down with Swooon, she took us behind the scenes on the day that Mike met her family. She explained, “I think what was hard about [Mike] meeting my family is that there was so much growth within those two weeks within the pods. But then now we’re bringing in our family for these conversations, and our family didn’t know what happened the past couple of weeks, so it was a game of, like, playing catch-up, but also answering questions.”
