We won’t hold you in suspense: Amber and Matt are still going strong. They’ve been keeping social media users in the loop about their relationship since their season — which filmed in 2018 — came out in 2020.
Viewers might remember that at the reunion, the couple opened up about their marital struggles. They even considered getting a divorce at one point. Amber said, “I know there was one point where we almost broke up because we had such expectations out of what we wanted out of a husband and wife, and we knew we were married, and we knew we were in love, but also, we were still learning each other.”
Though they admitted that they “butted heads” a lot then, Amber said, “We stopped trying to force what we wanted on each other. Once that happened, it’s just nothing but really good things since then.”
One of only two couples from Season 1 to make it out intact, Amber and Matt have continued to showcase their love. “I love you more today than I did then, not because our love is perfect (or ‘blind’), but because our eyes are wide open and our love is deliberate and intentional,” Amber wrote to Matt on their anniversary in 2023.

Amber and Matt announced in October 2024 that they were expecting their first baby. Baby Barnett arrived in April 2025. “It may be the hormones but @barnettisblind and our baby girl have my heart so full I can hardly function, I hope this feeling never goes away 🩷,” Amber wrote on the Instagram.

On their seventh anniversary, a few months later, Amber wrote to her husband, “Now, here we are all this time later, parents to a real live human being who I’m certain is an actual angel on Earth, still with no idea what we have gotten ourselves into. I’m gonna go ahead and say damn it feels good to be right because I may not have known what it would be, but I did always know it would be you.”
