Clayton, who was 36 years old at the time of filming The Bachelorette in fall 2025, is a full-time singer/songwriter. “His passion for music was sparked through songwriting and performing in church, setting the foundation for his career,” according to his website bio.
He made his foray into the country music scene as a model for Boot Barn and has played guitar for artists including Scotty McCreery and Sabrina Carpenter, while also writing and performing his own original music.
Where is Clayton Johnson from?
Clayton is from Modesto, California, but he now lives in Nashville, Tennessee.
“I’m at his parents’ farm, so we’re in, like, the guest house,” she told Mojo Magazine for a March 2021 story. “It’s pretty idyllic: Northern California, pretty cold, 40 degrees and a little fireplace. We had a sweet little night singing all the old Disney and holiday songs. Not what I expected after a long car ride, but everyone was in a good mood.”
What happened between Clayton Johnson and Lana Del Rey?
Clayton and Lana started dating in 2020 after meeting on a dating app, according to People. By the end of that year, the outlet confirmed that the couple had gotten engaged. Lana was seen wearing a ring on her left hand on several occasions, although she did not comment on the engagement rumors herself and referred to Clayton as her “boyfriend” in the Mojo interview.
It’s unclear exactly when Clayton and Lana split, although it’s rumored that their relationship ended around June 2021. She married her now-husband, Jeremy Dufrene, in 2024.
