Is ‘Survivor’s Mike White in a Relationship? What We Know About His Love Life
Mike White is back as a contestant on Season 50 of Survivor. He first competed on Season 37, which aired in the fall of 2018, and his life has certainly changed since then.
In between his Survivor stints, White created the award-winning series The White Lotus, which has now aired for three seasons. He filmed Season 50 of Survivor before beginning production on Season 4.

Does Mike White have a partner?
No, White is seemingly not in a relationship at the moment. In a February 2025 interview with The New Yorker, which was conducted in December 2024, White revealed that his long-term relationship with boyfriend Josh Brooks had ended due to his busy schedule as creator of The White Lotus.
“I’d love to have a break, but two weeks in I’d be like, ‘What are we doing?'” he admitted, while adding that he was “fried” from how hard he was working on the show’s third season, which aired in 2025.
Who is Mike White’s ex Josh Brooks?
While little is known about Brooks, he did visit White when the latter was a contestant on Season 37 of Survivor in 2018. At the time, the men had been together for six years, so they started dating at some point in 2012.
“We’re super different, but we’re bonded in a deep way,” White said. “I am so happy to see him and stoked.”
Brooks is credited as a crew member on Enlightened, the HBO series created by White that ran for two seasons. According to IMDb, Brooks worked on eight episodes of the show’s second season in 2013.

White briefly discussed his relationship with Brooks in a 2021 interview with Entertainment Weekly. “I’ve been living on Kauai. I still party with my boyfriend, Josh,” he said. “Although he’s sober, so partying means I toss back Mai Tais and he just stares at me, shaking his head with disgust.”
At the time of that interview, Season 1 of The White Lotus had not come out yet. White and Brooks split at some point before the December 2024 New Yorker piece.
Does Mike White have kids?
No, White does not have any children, which he confirmed in his profile for The New Yorker.
In the 2021 EW interview, White revealed that he and Brooks had two dogs: a bulldog named Peanut and a rescue from China named Coconut.
