‘Bachelorette’ Taylor Frankie Paul Reveals the ‘Most Challenging’ Part of Her Season

Taylor Frankie Paul will debut as the leading lady of The Bachelorette on March 22. As chronicled in The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Taylor’s love life has had its ups and downs through the years.
She took a chance to find love on The Bachelorette, and the Season 22 lead spoke with Swooon ahead of the premiere about balancing her life as a mom to three kids and revealed what turned out to be the toughest part of her journey. Taylor said she was “able to see” her kids whenever she wanted, and they were able to come visit her in California while she filmed.
However, she admitted, “It was difficult just because some places it was back-to-back, so I didn’t want to have them travel during school and whatnot. It was the most challenging part, but it was temporary, so that’s what kept me going.”
Taylor has two kids, Indy and Ocean, with her ex-husband, Tate Paul. She shares her third child, Ever, with her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen.
The 31-year-old said she didn’t have any “reservations” about trying to find love through The Bachelorette, just a lot of “nervousness.” She noted, “That amount of travel back-to-back, I’m not used to that. The length of being away from home was the longest I’d ever been away from home.”
When it came to fantasy suites later in the season, Taylor told Swooon, “Those were something I thought about, like, well, what is the boundary there for myself, and what do I want? I definitely had lots of thoughts going into it.”
A day after Swooon spoke with Taylor, she addressed the ongoing controversy surrounding her and the allegations about an alleged domestic violence incident involving her and Dakota in February.
“It’s been a heavy time,” Taylor said on Good Morning America. She added, “I’m a person that will always speak my truth. That’s what I’m known for, so when the time is right I will be.”
