After the duo was featured in the final two episodes of Season 3, they continued to share their blossoming love story on social media and returned for Season 4. During the new season, the duo revealed that they were looking for a new home together. Now, Netflix has revealed that they are officially homeowners. James told Netflix, “We have been living in our house for three months now. We’ve already done so much work on it, making it an extension of ourselves, so it feels like a home to us.”

On April 6, 2025, James confirmed that he and Shelley had made things official after the third season. He wrote, “I have finally found true love! I love [Shelley] very much, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about her; she is so wonderful and amazing, and I am so glad that she and I have found each other! Shelley and I have much in common, but we also compliment each other, we each inspire the other to be better, and, having said that, I can admit that I have made some mistakes in our relationship, but I am learning, and I am making my best effort to be a loving and caring boyfriend for her.”

Yes, James and Shelley both returned as main cast members for Season 4 of Love on the Spectrum. In the trailer for the season, James’ dad is seen talking to James, Shelley, and his mom, saying, “The most important thing in their lives right now is to get away from me!”

During the trailer, James and Shelley were also seen in front of a beautiful church. There, James told Shelley, “Seeing you in front of this church is making me think…” Later, a ring was shown!
