During Episode 11, viewers met Elise’s parents, Beth and Woody Benson, at their home in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Elise revealed that her parents have a “picture-perfect marriage.” After meeting on a blind date, the two got married and have been together for over forty years.
According to Beth, their family is “very close.” Woody added, “The four of us have stuck together, and that hasn’t always been the easiest.” Beth even added, “We’ve bailed Elise out of a lot of things. Maybe too many.” Elise also revealed that her parents have always wanted her to date someone who is also Jewish.

What does Woody Benson do for a living?
Elise revealed that her dad is a “venture capitalist,” a position that she couldn’t exactly explain. According to his website, Woody is a Venture Partner at Pritzker Vlock Capital Management, where he is “considered a business partner and company builder by his CEOs.” He spent half his tech career on “the operational side,” and now he is on “the investing side.” He is also an Executive in Residence at Bentley University and hosts a Bloomberg Radio show.

According to Elise, ahead of their time on 90 Day, her dad “just had two knee surgeries.” This means that he’s been confined to a chair for a while, which is “very hard for him because he’s always out and about and a big workaholic.”
