What To Know
- Gabby Windey is a former Bachelorette.
- In March 2026, she starred as the host of Hulu’s Love Overboard reality dating show.
- Windey is married to Robby Hoffman.
Gabby Windey is back in the reality dating show world — but not as a contestant. The TV personality, who ended her 2022 season of The Bachelorette engaged to Erich Schwer and broke it off a few months later, has turned to hosting. Windey is at the helm of Love Overboard, a new Hulu show that puts a group of love-seeking singles on a luxury yacht. (“I think they’re all perverted and disgusting and sex fiends, and that’s why they’re here,” Windey told People.)
Though Windey didn’t find lasting love on reality TV, she did find it elsewhere. Windey used an appearance on The View to announce she’d found love with Robby Hoffman. “I always just want to live my truth and my story,” she said. “And so I have been seeing someone for a couple months, and I’ve been keeping it a little more private because it is like a bigger story and a bigger conversation because I’m dating a girl!”
They’ve been together ever since and have tied the knot. As she helps the Love Overboard singles navigate the reality dating show, you can read up on Windey’s love story with Hoffman, including how long they’ve been together, their stance on kids, and more.
Who is Gabby Windey’s wife?
One of 10 kids, Robby Hoffman was born in Brooklyn, New York, to a Hasidic Jewish family. She later relocated to Montreal, Canada, graduated from McGill University, and dropped out of its graduate program to pursue a career in comedy. She has achieved her goal in the years since, steadily building up her resume. She was the New York Comedy Festival’s headlining stand-up comic in 2018, following that up with her standup special, I’m Nervous.
Hoffman has also gotten into scripted comedic work, joining HBO Max’s Hacks in Season 4. She also appears in FX’s Dying For Sex and Netflix’s Verified. Hoffman writes as well as performs. Her credits include Workin’ Moms, Odd Squad, and more.
How did Gabby Windey and Robby Hoffman meet?
In a conversation with Interview Magazine in February 2025, Windey and Hoffman revealed that their love story was a case of love at first sight. They met outside of a bar — more specifically, lesbian night at Los Angeles’ Semi-Tropic.
“I was still exploring my sexuality, and I had one bisexual friend who was like, ‘Let’s go to some events, spread your wings, meet people,'” Windey recalled. “And her girlfriend was a fan of Robby’s comedy, and we were on the way out, and Robby was like, ‘What’s going on?’ She had kind of noticed me from The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, and all she kept saying was ‘The Bachelor’s gay!’ I was so confused. But Robby has mad game, as you can imagine, so I was hooked, lined, and sinkered.”
She also elaborated on navigating her sexuality. “And I feel like I’m so blessed with exploring my sexuality because Robby and I met so early, and it just solidified things,” she explained. “I had such a good partner to kind of show me the ropes and lesbian culture and just be really patient with me. People were like, ‘Some lesbians don’t like to date baby gays, they’re too afraid.’ But Robby never says no to a challenge.”

Hoffman countered that Windey wasn’t a challenge. “We clicked right away,” the comedian said. “She has to get the gab for real. She talks, she throws it back. As hot as she is, she doesn’t need to be as funny and as smart as she is.”
How long have Gabby Windey and Robby Hoffman been together?
That bar meeting took place in spring 2023, when Windey hadn’t come out yet. She recalled, “We were PDA like from the beginning to the point where I was like, ‘Do we need to be careful? Are you comfortable with other people knowing?’ We would go to lesbian line dancing, and I was starting to get recognized, and she sometimes would be like, ‘No gay shit.'”
Hoffman explained that she didn’t want to be responsible for outing her girlfriend. “People are going to find out she’s gay, and it’s my fault,” she reflected. “I knew they would come for the Jew, and I didn’t want it to be a problem for her.”
Windey revealed her relationship in August 2023, on the aforementioned episode of The View. She and Hoffman married in January 2025, after they had to evacuate their California home due to wildfires. They went to Las Vegas. “Literally cue Rihanna, ‘We found love in a hopeless place,'” Windey told Cosmopolitan. “What better time to get married than right now? Because if the world is ending, we want to be with each other.”

They didn’t plan to get married when they left home, but they just decided to when they got to their Vegas hotel. “It looked like a wedding suite,” Hoffman said. “Gabby turned to me, and she went, ‘Should we get married?’ And look, I’ve been proposing since the day I met her. We got to this room, and it’s like out of a mafia movie, 12-foot ceilings, a separate bedroom from the living room, that type of hotel. And we were like, ‘Whoa.’ And then Gabby floated getting married.”
They said “I do” during a 15-minute ceremony at One Love Wedding Chapel, walking down the aisle to Chappell Roan’s “Hot to Go!”
Do Gabby Windey and Robby Hoffman have kids?
Windey and Hoffman are proud parents of a dog and a cat, but they don’t see human children in their future. “We don’t want kids,” Windey replied when Interview Magazine asked.
Hoffman chimed in, “No kids! This is my baby, and I’m her baby. We’re taking a page from the gays: Double income, no kids.”
