What happened to Mark-Francis Vandelli on Celebs Go Dating?
In 2023, Mark appeared on the British dating show Celebs Go Dating, which features celebrities being advised by dating experts and going on dates with members of the public.
One of his dates was with a man named Paul. “We asked Paul if another date has been discussed and Paul said, ‘Yeah, it was mutual,'” one of the agency experts told Mark afterwards. However, the Made in Chelsea alum had no intention of going out with Paul a second time. “I don’t recall the finer details, but I may have led him to believe I might see him again,” he admitted.
Mark was advised to be more forward if he didn’t want to continue a relationship with someone in the future. He was then set up with a man named Max and things got off to a bad start. “No wine, no geography, [he has] a mullet. Why am I here?” Mark wondered. “He’s friendly, charming, kind, polite, everything you could want. But I’m not sure I could watch him dance on stage at 2:00 in the morning in front of 2,000 people.”
After drinks were ordered, Mark already knew he wasn’t interested in Max, but he didn’t directly follow the dating expert’s advice. Instead, he lied and said he had a friend’s birthday party to go to, so he had to leave early.
His next date was with a man named Alessio, who was much more forward than Mark was used to. However, Mark was into it. “I had a lovely lunch with Alessio,” he said. “He gets it. He’s smart, he’s charming, he’s funny.”
Afterwards, he admitted to the dating experts that he found Alessio’s “level of intellect attractive,” but said he was not into Alessio’s PDA attempts during their lunch. Overall, Mark was criticized on the show for not letting his guard down, being too judgmental of his suitors, and leading people on.

While not much is known about Mark’s past love life, he did open up about his most recent long-term relationship on Celebs Go Dating. “It was a while ago,” he confirmed on the 2023 show, adding that the romance lasted about five years.
“It was no longer right. For neither of us,” Mark said. He admitted that he loved his ex-boyfriend. “That is surely what every human being strives for in some way, in some capacity,” Mark shared.
