All About ‘Real Housewives of Rhode Island’ Star Rosie DiMare’s Husband
Bravo fans will get to know Rosie DiMare when The Real Housewives of Rhode Island premieres on April 2. The TV host and DJ will give viewers a look inside her life, which includes her marriage to husband Rich DiMare.
The couple recently celebrated their one-year wedding anniversary, and Rich has been supportive of his wife’s casting on the new reality series. “He’s, like, my best friend, so he was very much involved from the beginning, even when my friend who’s a publicist was like, ‘You need to call these people back,’ I asked him, ‘Should we do this?'” Rosie revealed to Swooon. “Rich loves being famous. So he’s all on board, if I’m being honest.”

What does Rosie DiMare’s husband do for a living?
Rich currently works as a DJ and runs an event company. “He sings, he DJS, he does lighting and sound for really big events,” Rosie told Swooon. “He has a bunch of DJs and musicians and sound people on his roster that go to different events.”
Rich gives live performances as a DJ and a singer who specializes in Frank Sinatra‘s songbook. Per his website, Rich is a “seasoned showman with over 20 years of experience in the entertainment industry.” He also DJs at Fenway Park for the Boston Red Sox and previously worked for Boston radio station KISS 108 as the on-air producer for the Matty in the Morning Show.
“He loves the spotlight, he loves singing and DJing and doing all that stuff, and he owns an events company,” Rosie explained to Swooon. “Even now, from being on the radio for so long, people are like, ‘Oh, it’s Rich from KISS 108.’ He loves this stuff.”
Because of his history in the entertainment industry, Rich was totally on board with filming for RHORI. “He has a lot of free time, where I feel like a lot of these other guys are going to their job every day. Rich isn’t doing that. He’s going to events at night or on the weekend, or he’s working on the computer doing scheduling or different things,” Rosie revealed. “He’s done a lot with real estate, so he’s kind of retired. He had a lot of free time, and he loved being on camera. And he is my sounding board with everything. He helps me with things that I don’t always get. He helps me a lot with stuff.”
How did Rosie DiMare meet her husband?
Rosie first met her husband when she was interning at the radio station where he worked. “I wasn’t his intern,” Rosie clarified to Swooon. “It was a really big deal I got this internship, and I was taking it really seriously. He was the one who would teach me to use all the equipment. He’d bring me to meet all the celebrities with him. He kind of helped me a lot with that stuff and taught me how to DJ to help me get a production job at the station.”
She said Rich was like a “mentor” to her during her early days at the station and that they became friends, eventually staying in touch through social media when Rosie left the station to start her first news job.
“We always joke we re-met and went on a date 12 years later because it wasn’t like that at all when I was an intern,” Rosie added. “I was so young. He didn’t like me, either, so it wasn’t like a secret crush on the intern. We always stayed in touch, super friendly, and we both just happened to be in Florida a few years ago, and it was like, ‘Do you want to hang out?’ and now we’re married!”

The age gap between Rosie and Rich is “about eight and a half years,” she told Swooon. When she first started working at his radio station, she was 19 years old, and he was in his late 20s.
