Amanda Batula and West Wilson are finally speaking out amid rumors that they are romantically involved. The Summer House costars have been making headlines for the last several days as fans speculate that Amanda and Ciara Miller had a falling out over the rumored relationship.
On March 31, Amanda took to her Instagram Story to release a statement about the situation.
“We’ve seen the growing online speculation, so while this is still very new, we wanted to provide some clarity,” she began. “It was never our intention to purposely hide anything. Given the complicated relationship dynamics involved and the scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show, we needed a little space to process things privately before speaking on it.”
Yes, Amanda has confirmed that she and West are an item. Amanda added, “We’ve shown up for each other as friends over the years, through all the highs and lows, and what’s developed recently was the last thing either of us expected. Our connection grew out of a genuine, long-standing friendship, which made it especially important for us to approach this with care.”
She concluded, “As our feelings evolved, we wanted to take time to understand exactly what we were feeling. We also recognize that this has had an impact beyond just us and never wanted our actions to cause any hurt or be perceived as careless. We truly appreciate the understanding and respect as we navigate this.”
Ciara previously dated West on Season 8 of Summer House and in the months that followed. They had a messy split in December 2024, but have finally started getting back to an amicable place on the show’s current season.
Meanwhile, Amanda had been in a relationship with Kyle Cooke throughout the entirety of the series, but they announced their separation in January after more than four years of marriage. Shortly after the split, fans noticed that she and West had begun popping up in each other’s social media posts more and more often, sparking romance rumors. The speculation gained traction when viewers realized that Amanda and Ciara failed to appear in a previously-scheduled Amazon Live together last week, filming the ad separately instead.
